WHAT YOU'LL DO Under the direction of the Grounds Superintendent and the Equipment Manager, the Mechanic assists in the repair and maintenance of all powered grounds and golf course maintenance and construction equipment. The Mechanic assists in maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building, contributes to the preventive maintenance program, and places safety procedures as a top priority. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Upholds a clean and orderly appearance. Ensures the workshop and shop yard remain organized, assisting staff in maintaining an efficient working environment. Communicates maintenance or repair needs promptly to the Equipment Manager. Regularly inspects, diagnoses, adjusts, and repairs mechanical issues in a variety of maintenance equipment. Collaborate with the Equipment Manager, Grounds Superintendent, and Grounds Managers to prioritize equipment repair and maintenance tasks effectively. Adjusts cutting heights and performs backlapping on reel units to maintain cutting precision. Ensures maintenance equipment is consistently fueled, oiled, and inspected, undertaking related tasks as needed. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
