Growth/Customer Experience: Understand the location-specific customer goals & objectives. Determine areas that could benefit from Continuous Improvement efforts. Fleet/Assets: Properly plan work assignments to ensure effective use of fleet/warehouse equipment. Reconciles invoices from third-party packaging companies, reconciling charges billed against the published price list, receiving records, re-pack orders, and put-a-ways. Collaborates with Regional Distribution Center (RDC) Managers, Packaging Engineering Manager, Sr. Parts Packaging Specialist, and Director of Parts Distribution, ensuring prudent execution of a multi-million-dollar budget for packaging, labor and shipping expenses. Other duties include collaboration with design and approval of packaging specifications, reviewing of damage and defect claims data and continuous improvement projects. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES * Develops and conducts time and motion studies to establish standard production rates for packaging of service parts and other individual packaging assembly line roles and functions. * Utilizes data to ensure efficient staffing for each packaging job, and assigns tasks to balance the workload among the packaging line operators to achieve the highest efficiency rate per individual part type commodities. * Audits invoices by material and labor suppliers for validity against established pricing, contracts, and business rules and agreements. * Resolves and negotiates billing discrepancies with suppliers. The Role The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing site level supply chain operations and sourcing for raw materials, COTS Hardware, tooling, consumables and outside processing in support of factory production.     The Senior Material Analyst is responsible for the overall materials function and coordinating the efforts of Production Control, Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Control to ensure an orderly and cost-effective system is developed and maintained which will enable production and sales goal to be met while minimizing freight dollars and inventory days on hand. Essential functions of the job: Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and acquirement of materials. Optimize freight and inventories. Implement, production scheduling, logistics and inventory control processes which ensure the availability of materials for an uninterrupted flow of production in accordance with delivery schedules, while maintaining minimum inventories. Select, motivate, train, and ensure development of a competent department and materials handling staff. Ensure accuracies of system inventory levels. Participate in plant layout activities (production and warehouse). Anticipate and resolve problems with short-term and permanent corrective action. Assist with the development of inventory and freight budgets for the purpose of establishing acceptable inventory levels and freight spend upon which performance can be measure and operating controls affected. Assist with the management of the most economical inbound / outbound transportation routes, looking for opportunities to combine shipments, milk runs, and warehouse consolidation and distribution. Required Education: Bachelor's Level Degree Area of Study: Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or similar. Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
