Our Tube Fitting Division in Eaton, Ohio is looking for new Assembler Team Members to help keep the world moving. You will use your hands and machines to build Parker products in a safe and sustainable manner. You must have good technical knowledge and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The goal is to produce complex fittings by putting together smaller components.

Perform a variety of hand assembly and/or machine operations along with bending operations associated with the manufacturing of tubing bundles using diagrams and job order sheets for shipping products. Must complete any SPC and/or attribute charts as required. Set-up and operate cutting machine as per instruction from parts list, visually inspect hose for defects, and check inside diameter with correct gauging pins. Set-up and operate marking machines, perform work of an equal or lower classification, and implement Lean Manufacturing as required for operational needs. Must be able to read and follow simple diagrams and specific written instructions.

* Secure proper types and quantities of tubing and fittings according to instructions on cut sheets and templates.
* Set up and operate the cutter/marker, depth marking, ovens and cooling chamber to produce quality product.
* Set up assemble tables by using mylar and retrieving head fixture assembling harness according to mylar template. Form tubing fixture using cut sheet for part number and training paper for correct part.
* Perform work of an equal or lower classification, as required.

POSITION SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Performs basic to moderate assembly/test and overhaul/repair functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing or service environment.
* Records test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow measurement devices.
* May use X-Y recorders, oscilloscopes, transducers and other related equipment.
* Identifies malfunctions disclosed by test data and reworks as instructed.
* Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements and quality directives.
* Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to product specifications. Assembles, test and/or solders to customer and/or industry standards.
* Ensures quality of all products being assembled for cosmetics, dimensional requirements, proper identification, and test parameters.

Primary Responsibilities:
Verify kits using latest drawings, parts lists and any unincorporated CO's.
Assemble and install PWBs into chassis using the latest drawing, parts lists and any pending CO's.
Assemble modules to system chassis using the latest drawing, parts lists and any pending CO's.
Route cables and harnesses from module to module and route any wire using the latest drawing and manufacturing instructions.
Solder specified components and shields per IPC regulations.
Hand clean solder joints for flux residue.
Install specified connectors and attach specified cables to the modules.
Aid in the verification of the hardware installed by a co-worker.
Read and follow work instructions contained in either IFS's routers or the manufacturing intranet homepage.
Receiving, reserving, un-reserving, issuing, un-issuing of any material in IFS.
Understand the parts build list and incorporating CO's from all levels of the production floor.
Aid with the troubleshooting of a unit that is completed by the technician by disassembling units or modules for retest, root cause analysis and reassembly.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 is required.
Ability to pass and obtain an IPC-610 certification is required.

POSITION SUMMARY
Accurately and efficiently assembles/tests a variety of moderate to complex products to achieve customer quality and on-time delivery schedules. May overhaul/repair several product families. Works on products that contain mechanical and electrical components, and multiple product families. Actively contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and cost savings through waste elimination. Actively participates in high performance team meeting and daily board meetings. Receives general supervisory guidance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Performs moderate to complex assembly/test and overhaul/repair functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing or service environment.
* Records test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow measurement devices.
* May use X-Y recorders, oscilloscopes, transducers, and other related equipment.
* Identifies malfunctions disclosed by test data and reworks as instructed.
* Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements and quality directives.
* Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to product specifications. Assembles, test and/or solders to customer and/or industry standards.
* Ensures quality of all products being assembled for cosmetics, dimensional requirements, proper identification, and test parameters.
* Must maintain the highest degree of customer service, quality, productivity, throughput, dependability, safety, a clean and organized work environment, and willingness to accept change.
* Must exhibit team cooperative spirit through assistance to others and knowledge sharing.
* Actively participates in lean initiatives and provides suggestions for cost savings improvements through waste elimination.
* May assist in training and development of other, less experienced team members to promote continuous quality improvement.
* Adheres to all safety rules and procedures.
* Maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.
* Ensures all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule.
* Participates in High Performance Teams
* May perform other related responsibilities as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
* High school degree or GED
* Three to five years of assembly and test experience.
* Demonstrate product and process knowledge by applying it to newly learned techniques.
* Able to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment
* Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets and test specifications. Perform basic mathematical calculations
* Demonstrate effective verbal, written and basic computer skills.
* Possess strong mechanical reasoning.
* Able to train less experienced team members.
* Able to implement and effectively apply lean initiatives.
* Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
* Able to interpret reports and use standard business software applications. Able to use employee self-service to access on-line information and use specialized automated systems (I.E PMR, TORS, email)
* May be required to pass a drug test prior to entering an FAA/DOT covered position and be included in the random Anti-Drug Testing Program.
* May require specialized certification specific to division requirements (i.e. certified operator, soldering certification).
* Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback and self-development activities.
* Ability to perform duties of little physical demand, however, may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time. The team member is required to talk, hear and demonstrate manual dexterity by using hands to assemble parts and use test equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to distinguish between colors without assistance. The team member is required to use hands to operate a computer. Also expected of the team member is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
