Position Summary: Responsibility for leading operation of a value stream. Implements under the direction of the Business Unit Manager, the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a qualified workforce, reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee daily activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and annual expectations. Responsibilities: * Meet with the Value Stream associates regularly reflecting on problems, solutions and challenges, thereby creating a culture of continuous improvement. * Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work and processes are followed, needed adjustments are implemented and the area is compliant with safety and 5S requirements. * Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere in the Value Stream(s), hold regular team meetings and assign team member tasks and coordinate support activities from departments outside of the team. * Provide effective cross training for Value Stream associates and backups from other value streams to assure the continuous smooth running of the value stream. * Encourage team to stop and fix problems in order to get quality right the first time. * Maintain Team Improvement Boards.     Your tasks * Lead shift operations for four 6,100-ton aluminum HPDC machines (automotive large castings), delivering Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets through effective staffing, pacing, and daily execution. * * Supervise and control melting/holding operations to ensure correct alloy/chemistry, temperature, metal cleanliness, and metal supply to presses; maintain required melt logs and escalate out-of-spec conditions. * * Ensure stable casting performance by enforcing standard work and approved process windows (start-ups, parameter control, die lube/thermal control, changeovers, and shutdowns), and coordinating die swaps/tool readiness. * * Own shift-level quality performance: first-off approvals, SPC/critical checks, defect recognition and containment, scrap control, and rapid response to quality alerts. * * Drive uptime by leading real-time troubleshooting of downtime/scrap and coordinating Maintenance/Automation/Tooling support; execute immediate countermeasures and follow through on root-cause actions. * * Maintain strong safety and housekeeping discipline (LOTO, guarding/interlocks, hot metal handling, crane/rigging, PPE, 5S) and develop team capability through coaching, shift huddles, and clear pass-down reporting.
