Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands is an innovative community program serving family caregivers in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties by connecting them with a circle of help that includes trained volunteers who provide an array of respite services. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for family caregivers of older adult loved ones by engaging the broader community to provide assistance and respite services. Our program is growing, and we are seeking a Data Coordinator to play a key role as our program expands.
The Data Coordinator will support the delivery team of the organization, and their main role will be in handling the usage of data systems with security and confidentiality. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President for Research and Grants, the person in this role will be responsible for:
* Ensure a secure and timely flow of data within, to and from the organization
* Maintain detailed database of all individuals receiving supports
* Review project documents and make necessary revisions
* Utilize database programs to run data queries
* Responding to requests for information from members of the public and others
* Prepare and submit data required for audits
* Assist staff in data entry when required
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and will have advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project Manager, with prior experience working in a data coordinator or similar role a plus. Prior experience with the geriatric population or working in a healthcare or social services setting a plus. Additionally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate pleasant and effective communication skills.

Qualifications
New York State RN license
BSN or BA in Nursing or a related field
MDS 3.0 scheduling and PDPM experience required.
Master's Degree in Nursing or Health Care Administration a plus
5+ years of experience with health care reimbursement programs
At least two years of demonstrated supervisory experience
Knowledgeable in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement requirements
Knowledgeable with MDS and various mandatory assessments
Demonstrate participatory and servant leadership ability, lead teams, empower staff, organized and detailed oriented
Manages interruptions to triage resident care priorities and changing situations
Communicates effectively and works well with others; is cooperative and helpful
Delegates well and respects others.
