Responsibilities
Cleans assigned areas to assure the optimal clean, sanitary and safe environment for all internal/external customers of the hospital and Parkland. Assigned duties may include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, collecting trash, bed area cleaning, buffing floors, detailing, etc. May be responsible for responding to and using the "bed tracking" system to assure immediate cleaning of rooms after patient discharge for the immediate availability of the room to newly assigned patients.
Harmoniously works with all contacts inclusive of patients, visitors, hospital and Parkland employees and managers, to promote optimal customer services and customer satisfaction in accord with the missions and objectives of the department, the hospital and Parkland.
Maintains, correctly uses, and cares for all environmental services materials, equipment and supplies, and notifies supervisor when supply requisitions, maintenance, and/or repair is needed to assure the optimal usage of materials and safety for department services and resources.
Job Accountabilities
Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.
Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.

The Polysomnography Tech 2, under the direction of the Manager, coordinates the daily operations of the Sleep Laboratory. About the Natural Resources and Lands Management Division:
The Natural Resources and Lands Management (NRLM) Division within the Water Enterprise of the SFPUC is responsible for the management of approximately 61,000 acres of Bay Area watershed lands under SFPUC ownership as well as 150 miles of utility right-of-way. The NRLM Division is responsible for managing, protecting, restoring, and monitoring the ecological resources on these lands and environmental compliance for the operations and maintenance of the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System which serves 2.7 million customers. Job Description
About the Position:
The Tuolumne Watershed Forester is responsible for monitoring and advising on activities and planning within the Tuolumne Watershed and the eastern area of the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System (HHRWS) that could affect drinking water quality. These activities include wildfire management, recreation, mining, grazing, timber harvesting, road and infrastructure maintenance and capital projects. This role requires exemplary partnership, relationship building and collaboration with the Hetch Hetchy Water and Power and Water Quality Divisions of the SFPUC Water Enterprise, the federal landowners within the watershed including the USFS, the NPS and the BLM, and other federal, state and local agencies. This role also requires an understanding of the Surface Water Treatment Rule and activities needed to maintain the filtration avoidance status for the Hetch Hetchy and Upcountry Non-Hetch Hetchy drinking water supplies.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Build relationships and coordinate with HHWP, WQ, the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) and the National Park Service (NPS) to support watershed protection measures, including those listed below, within the Cherry Lake, Eleanor Lake and Hetch Hetchy watersheds.
Collaborate with federal partners, local governments, and non-governmental organizations for watershed protection and wildfire mitigation efforts. Monitor planning and activities for prescribed fires, fuel reduction wildfire incidents and wildfire rehabilitation to ensure water quality concerns are addressed. Monitor and advise on permitting and compliance with the SWRCB Utility Wildfire General Order.
Develop annual Hetch Hetchy Sanitary Survey Report, including recommendations to maintain and improve drinking water quality protection.
Develop 5-year Non Hetch Hetchy Sanitary Survey Report Sanitary Survey Report, including recommendations to maintain and improve drinking water quality protection.
Track interagency agreements and participate in coordination meetings with the USFS and NPS to ensure annual work plans include priorities in the sanitary surveys.
Participate in planning and monitoring of grazing, mining and timber harvesting activities to ensure watershed protection measures are integrated.
Participate in planning and monitoring of recreational uses such as camping, trails, wastewater and sanitary disposal, pack animal management and educational materials to ensure watershed protection measures are integrated.
Monitor infrastructure maintenance and capital projects within the watersheds to ensure drinking water quality is prioritized.
Monitor and advise on road maintenance, repair and treatment prescriptions to minimize point source and non-point source sediment transport from drainage.
Develop Timber Harvest Plans and other forest management planning and timber sale documents in compliance with the California Forest Practice rules as needed on City of San Francisco properties and rights of way.
Monitor and advise on long term vegetation management and herbicide applications within the HHRWS source watersheds.
Advise on cultural resources management as needed.
Coordinate across the Water Enterprise and partner agencies to support implementation of best available science and management practices.
Maintain accurate records in GIS, Field Maps, Excel and other asset management tools such as Maximo or related database to track to asset conditions, program operations, maintenance and construction and budget.
Performs related duties as required for Class 3486 - Watershed Forester.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications reflect the lowest level of acceptable education and/or experience required of an individual such that the individual reasonably could be expected to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position. Candidates must meet all the requirements established by the MQs to be considered for the position.
License:
Possession of a valid license as a professional Forester issued by the California State Board of Forestry,

Possession of a valid California Driver's License.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
As a key member of the LDAR team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
* Conduct routine leak inspections of industrial piping and tank components using a backpack-mounted organic vapor meter

* Report all environmental and safety issues to client and Regional Manager

A DAY IN THE LIFE
The EnvironmentalTechnician position is responsible for performing day to day inspections of components in the LDAR Program. This position will be responsible for maintaining and care of their monitoring equipment and overall maintenance of the LDAR inventory. A DAY IN THE LIFE
The EnvironmentalTechnician position is responsible for performing day to day inspections of components in the LDAR Program. This position will be responsible for maintaining and care of their monitoring equipment and overall maintenance of the LDAR inventory. The following list of duties are the responsibility of the EnvironmentalTechnician.
* Participate and be engaged in the safety culture
* Complete comprehensive Job Safety Analysis at their jobsite
* Maintain and use all required PPE
* Perform and document calibration of monitoring instrument as required
* Perform and document calibration-precision test and response time test as required
* Perform and document field inspections accurately, safely and efficiently
* Document on leak tag completely and accurately for all leaks found
* Hang inventory tags and re-hang fallen inventory tags
* Document and report any tag maintenance and inventory discrepancies found in the field
* Document Management of Change and assist to maintain the accuracy of field inventories
* Perform and document drift assessments, where applicable
* Participate in training for career development, safety and maintaining required certifications
* Perform any other duties assigned by client or project manager(s)

Education Requirements:
* High School diploma required at minimum, preference given to applicants with an associates or bachelors degree in science related or environmental programs.

Years of Experience:
* 0-2+ years of industry experience preferred
Systems:
* Experience with Workday is beneficial
* Experience with LDAR database software programs is beneficial
Licensures/Training Requirements:
* Valid Driver's License is required
* Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) is beneficial
* State/Region applicable Safety Council Training is beneficial
* Refinery Safety Overview (RSO) training is beneficial
* Man lift Certified is beneficial
* First Aid and CPR Certified is beneficial
Safety/Drug Screening:
* Capability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening
* Must be able to successfully pass a urine, alcohol, and hair test

The Environmental Monitoring Specialist II - 2nd Shift will be responsible for providing daily operational support and environmental monitoring (EM) services to the Immatics aseptic production areas and to perform/provide safety testing for the final drug product release.

Schedule: 1200 - 2030; Monday to Friday
This is a critical position and may require working overtime, after-hours, weekends, or holidays to ensure business continuity.

What You'll Do:
As an Environmental Monitoring Specialist II, you will play a key role in supporting our Microbiology operations:
Perform EM of the classified aseptic production areas including incubation of samples, reading of results, reporting, and approving data (EM activities include but are not limited to contact plates, viable/non-viable counts, microbial ID testing/send-outs, and operator monitoring).
Conducts microbiological media growth promotion and maintains department stock cultures.
Supporting aseptic media fill process simulation validations.
Responsible for QC micro equipment validation, maintenance and calibration.
Performs safety testing on in-process and final drug products.
General laboratory operations (ordering supplies and culture media, operating
laboratory equipment, sample receipt, and send outs)
Other relatable functions may be determined.
Secondary Functions:
Train junior analysts.
Assist with equipment and assay qualifications
Required Experience and Education:
BA or BS in any science-related field (degree may be waived for more years of experience)
3+ years of experience in a laboratory and cleanroom environment
Preferred Experience and Education:
BA or BS in Biology, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Science/Engineering
Laboratory skills including more than one of the following: microscopy, visual
inspection, cell count & viability, sterility, endotoxin, and mycoplasma
Experience in environmental monitoring performance and qualification for drug product production.

Work Environment:
This position works in a typical office and lab environment with moderate noise levels and uses phone, computer, office equipment and supplies on a regular basis. Other duties performed while outside of office and lab building could involve exposure to manufacturing operations, along with outdoor conditions (including highway traffic) and temperatures.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, pathogens, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee can be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, risk of electrical shock, sharps, or cuts, while performing tests. This position requires handling of human biological specimens including human peripheral blood and human T cell products, as well as laboratory chemicals.
This position requires local travel in personal vehicle on the public roads between sites in the Houston area.
This position regularly works in a cleanroom environment at level 3 gowning with moderate noise levels from HEPA filtration.
