Parkrose company history timeline

1885

The Parkrose School District began in 1885 as a schoolhouse on Sandy and 122nd.

1911

The area has gone through many changes since being established as a farming and residential suburb of Portland in 1911.

1928

By 1928, the high school faculty numbered seven teachers and principal, R. W. Rose, who taught physics and later became the first Parkrose Superintendent.

2003

2011

In the spring of 2011, by a margin of 6 votes, the Parkrose voters approved a $63 million bond measure.

2012

On 4/9/2012 as Historic Parkrose was founded (under the name Parkrose NPI) by a broad cross-section of people representing the area’s business community, residents, property owners, district organizations, and community groups because they saw a need for Parkrose and the surrounding community.
