In 1983, community organizers, as a major step toward Parkside’s revitalization, got the neighborhood listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
In 1986, with the help of the Parkside Community Association, “The Parkside Historic District” streetscape was recognized by state and national registers.
If your street or house isn’t listed, it was not a part of the survey done by the Friends of Olmsted in 1986.
