General Description:
The Engineering Manager will lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of project engineers, mechanical designers, and electrical engineers. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire engineering lifecycle, from initial budgetary design interpretation of customer specifications to production. The manager will manage team schedules, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and utilize continuous improvement methodologies to drive efficiency and standardization of engineering activities. A core function of this position is to foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction, while also supporting sales activities and developing team members' careers.
Essential Functions:
Team Leadership & Management:
Manage and supervise a diverse team of project engineers, mechanical designers, and electrical engineers.
Manage and optimize the schedule and workload of the engineering team to meet project deadlines and business objectives.
Coach and develop team members for technical and career advancement purposes, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented work environment.
Process Improvement & Standardization:
Utilize Lean Six Sigma practices to develop, implement, and refine business processes to improve efficiency and standardize engineering activities.
Foster and encourage team members to work in an atmosphere in which continuous improvement and customer service and satisfaction are paramount.
Design & Project Execution:
Analyze and interpret customer-supplied information and specifications to design new equipment or modify standard equipment to meet customer requirements.
Support the realization of designs throughout the production and field startup phases, ensuring quality and functionality.
Reporting & Communication:
Report monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the team to senior leadership, highlighting progress, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Review and support sales activities by providing technical expertise and ensuring alignment between proposed solutions and engineering capabilities.

Education:
5-10 years experience in mechanical / structural equipment design is required.
4 yr. degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
Preferred Master's degree in engineering or business and professional engineer.
Experience:
Detailed knowledge of Inventor or similar 3D modeling package.
Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Proficiency in standard business software including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Working knowledge of ERP systems.
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience with water and wastewater treatment equipment or design for seismic and wind loads desirable.
Knowledge of ISO quality systems as well as improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma highly preferred.
Travel:

General Description:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for creating and reviewing controls engineering documentation in support of customer submittal packages, fabrication, and equipment installation. Essential Functions:
Work with Electrical Designer to prepare drawings for customer approval and for fabrication and provide final review of drawings.
Assemble submittal packages, installation, and maintenance manuals, component specifications and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
Review customer specification, interpret requirements and provide support for proposal preparation and implementation of projects.
Develop programming for PLC and other similar components to operate mechanical and/or process components in accordance with the sequence of operations.
Configuration of control panel components.
Interface with Purchasing to communicate specification requirements and to support vendor communications, product changes and pre-ordering.
Interface with Planning and Panel Shop personnel to ensure proper communication of design requirements and to receive feedback on manufacturability.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Purchases a broad, highly mixed and/or technical category of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies, which may involve contract negotiations, material deviation, and other complex considerations. General Description:
Apply engineering and design skills and expertise and manage technical activities in the development and customization of water/wastewater treatment systems, with an emphasis on mechanical design, structural analysis, and systems integration. Enable Parkson to meet external customer needs through coordination of design with internal groups such as Sales, Application Engineering, Production, Project Management, as well as external fabricators/suppliers and customers. To be a successful project engineer, you should have the ability to work with multiple discipline projects and demonstrate excellent project management, task management and design supervision skills.
Essential Functions:
Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
Analyze and interpret customer supplied information to design new equipment/systems or modify existing equipment/systems to meet their requirements.
Make sure the specifications on each project sold meets what we have quoted. Once the projects are in house, serve as Project Engineer for the creation of drawings, bills of material, submittal packages, and installation/operation manuals to support the design and fabrication, facilitate installation, and achieve customer approval. As the project progresses to the installation phase, answer any questions the Engineer or Contractor might have to complete the project.
Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.
Prepares or leads development of drawings and models based on sketches using standard techniques and computer assisted design/drafting equipment.
Support realization of designs through supply chain, production and field installation and testing.
Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
Meeting with client representatives to establish their requirements for new or existing equipment or systems.
Travel to suppliers, fabricators, or other locations to perform process inspections, conduct factory testing or review fabrication issues/improvement opportunities.
Prepare and review calculations in support of structural, mechanical and process.
Working on CAD and other Engineering software to create drawing, calculations, and specifications in line with the needs of the client.
Assisting with manufacturing issue resolution and collaborating with shop personnel on continuous improvement initiatives.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Experience:
2+ years practical experience in mechanical design is preferred.
Demonstrated 3D modeling software and CAD drafting experience preferred.
Experience with water or wastewater treatment equipment is preferred.
Experience with design for live loads, e.g., seismic and wind loads, desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Detailed knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor or similar 3D modeling package preferred.
Proficiency in standard business software including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Working knowledge of ERP & PLM systems preferred.
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Knowledge of ISO quality systems as well as improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma preferred.
Experience with Value Engineering preferred.
Licenses and/or Certifications:
EIT/PE preferred.
Travel:
Ability to travel up to 20%.
