*Job Description:**
*Airbus US** Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Heavy Handling Technician (Contract) to join our Ground Support Team based in **Mobile, AL.**
Responsible for the safe off-loading of Major Components Assemblies (MCA) from sea and road transport jigs onto Final Assembly Line (FAL) transportation trolleys and the delivery of MCAs to the Final Assembly Line stations in accordance with the planning schedule. Safe operations of Overhead Cranes with lifting capacities ranging from 6.5 tons to 50 tons, all with multiple lifting configurations.

Your challenges: *
• * Overhead crane operations in the Transhipment hangar, A320 Final Assembly Line, Final Phase hangars, and A220 FAL to receive and deliver the major aircraft components utilizing a variety of overhead crane configurations and lifting devices.
• * Operating heavy aircraft tow tugs for the movement of aircraft into and out of various hangars in support of pre-Final Operational Testing.
• * Ensuring aircraft system readiness and proper configuration of aircraft towing operations, cargo loading, aircraft mooring, electrical power connections, ventilation for air supply, and cabin access all in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM). MAA AOA training.
• * Coordinating logistical support for cannibalization, reallocation, out of sequence requests of aircraft materials, and the return of sea transport jigs.
• * Operation of heavy equipment to load/ unload shipping containers of MCAs using 30 k forklift.
• * Operation of heavy equipment to support unloading of MCAs from sea jigs at heights offeet using articulating man lift or scissor lifts.
• * Fueling activities for ground support equipment (GSE). Using portable fuel tanks.
• * Adherence to various policies regarding accurate recording of completed work and work-in-progress by using daily job cards to record activities.
• Notifies affected parties when clerical errors are discovered or documentation is incomplete.
• * Using SOIs to perform each task assigned and documenting any discrepancies.
• * Maintains accurate and up-to-date training records of EHS, SAP.
• * Ensure required daily pre-operational inspections of GSE are completed.

Position Summary: The mechanic will be responsible for the day-to-day and preventive maintenance of the company's fleet, including heavy trucks, equipment, and light trucks. Position Summary: To conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic systems and components in accordance with the repair stations, FAA's and manufacturer's airworthiness and maintenance standards. This position is "safety sensitive"; there for all FAA required compliance will be followed.

Perform serviceability tests on repaired components/systems using test equipment specified by the original equipment manufacturer.
Complete work package documentation with sign off after finishing all designated operations.
Perform installation of avionic equipment.
Interpret avionic/electrical wiring diagrams, wire identification, harness fabrication, wiring and cable integrity, coax cables and fittings and connector assemblies.
Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies, using hand tools and soldering equipment.
Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment.
Interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* 5+ years experience working with small engines, sheet metal, drill presses, etc.
* Experience working with metal (welding and fabrication).
* Must have the ability to think critically and problem solve.
* Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments.
* Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety.
* Electrical wiring knowledge a plus.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:
* Inspecting/Troubleshooting vehicles to determine adjustments and repairs, including mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic to ensure the vehicles are repaired, safe and in good working condition.
* Fabricate, assemble or disassemble vehicles using hand tools.
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
* Conducting preventive maintenance when needed.
* Cleaning work vehicle and work area, as necessary, to maintain a safe work environment.
