The Recovery Village Indianapolis (RVI) is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders. 71 total beds: 10 beds for Detox, 46 beds for Residential, and 15 beds for Mental Health. The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for the observation and monitoring of patients in treatment and reporting duties as indicated and contributes to the welfare of the organization and assists patients in a variety of patient activities. Assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following: Core Job Duties: Communicate and enforce facility program rules and ensure compliance in a firm but fair and professional manner. Communicate patient behavior with immediate supervisor and clinical team as appropriate. Address problem behaviors as needed through verbal de-escalation techniques. Adhere to time schedules Maintain healthy and professional boundaries with patients and staff Ensure that documentation is timely, consistent, clear, accurate and legible. Keep clinical records secure at all times. Schedule: 3 / 12-hour shifts & every other weekend Urgently Hiring: FT & PRN - Days (7a-7p) Nights (7p-7a) Requirements Required Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent required Minimum 2 years patient care experience OR; 1 year patient care experience + Associate's degree required OR; Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards required Preferred Qualifications Experience working with adult patients (18+) preferred. Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as developed by the BCBA. Promote and reinforce adaptive behaviors and discourage maladaptive behaviors. Provide direct care, including working on tasks related to communication, socialization, academic skills, and daily living activities. Collaboration: Work closely with the BCBA to discuss treatment progress and client needs. Participate in team meetings, providing input about the clients' progress, behavior, and development. Engage in regular communication with families to provide updates on client progress and reinforce strategies at home. Professional Development: Maintain RBT certification by completing ongoing training and education, as required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Actively participate in training and supervision sessions with the BCBA to ensure fidelity in the implementation of behavior intervention strategies. Preferred Qualifications: Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and strategies. Familiarity with behavior management systems and data collection procedures. Experience working in a clinical or educational setting. At least 1 year of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements: Ability to actively engage with children, including physical movement such as kneeling, standing, sitting on the floor, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to remain patient and composed in challenging situations. Work Environment: The work environment is primarily within the Applied Behavior Center for Autism, which includes therapy rooms, classrooms, and common areas for client interactions. Some travel may be required for home or school visits.
