What You'll Be Doing:
Relieves manager of administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly.
Understands priorities within the office and helps ensure that they are met.
Establishes office guidelines and procedures; anticipates where problem areas may arise; evaluates alternative methods of accomplishing tasks and meeting goals; and initiates suitable action.
Assists with progress reporting, risk and issue tracking and resolution, project resource planning, and schedule review.
Briefs all levels of project and client bases with business process development knowledge industry best practices.
Keeps manager informed of all pertinent action/pending action.
Gathers, organizes, and analyzes materials; produces and distributes data in graphic, spreadsheet, or narrative format.
Gathers statistics and general data; reviews and combines this information into established reports for use within and outside the unit. May develop new reports or revise existing reports, as directed.
Reviews time reports to verify accuracy of hours worked and Job#/WBS charges. Follows up to ensure timely processing of corrections.
Maintains employee directory and related data pertaining to employees assigned to the unit, including company resumes. Tracks paid-time-off hours charged and maintains schedule of future hours to be taken.
May establish and maintain records of equipment, including a log of equipment service dates. May initiate requests for service.
May obtain basic data for completion of the unit's overhead budget and prepare associated recurring reports. May produce a comparative report of actual expenditures against budget as directed.
Establishes and maintains document archiving and retrieval systems, prioritizing the flow of project reports/correspondence and ensuring timeliness in the handling, processing, and resolution of requests, requirements, or problems.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
4-year degree in Business (or equivalent) and 8-10 years of experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in the assigned area of specialty.
Strong written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
Additionally, a demonstrated proficiency in keyboard skills and the utilization of MS Windows and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, is required.
Ability to administer a variety of activities simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
Competency in documenting text and diagrams for business requirements, business processes, date models (Microsoft Visio or equivalent).

Prepares, processes and maintains a wide variety of special engineering studies, correspondence, submittals, records, files and reports pertaining to water facilities construction projects.

Ensures that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees. Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
Establishes and maintains liaison with design engineering staff. Reviews and interprets design drawings and specifications, construction and contract documents for water works facilities construction projects to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
Provides resolution for technical engineering problems; coordinates application of solutions.
Reviews construction schedules and monitors progress. Provides schedule and progress review reports to the Construction Manager.
Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline. Ensures that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
Organizes the accumulation of assigned data for the final project turnover and report.
Initiates and maintains records, back-charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.
Will have some interface with the client and upper-level management.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related construction field
8+ years or more experience including office design or field construction working with a large team

The Senior Paleontologist will work as part of a dynamic team that is based in Southern California but includes staff members across the United States. Stantec Paleontology is one of the largest paleontological mitigation programs in the country, holding numerous statewide Bureau of Land Management and project-specific United States Forest Service and National Park Service paleontological permits. Our team includes over 30 paleontologists, including field technicians and directors, fossil preparators, and principal investigators. Stantec supports a wide range of paleontology projects, from multi-state transmission and pipeline projects to road improvements, solar fields, private development, and more. We offer support through all stages of permitting and development, including preconstruction surveys and assessments, construction mitigation programs, and fossil treatment. Our Monrovia, California and Denver, Colorado offices include fossil preparation workspaces, with museum-quality preparation equipment.
Within this team, the Senior Paleontologist will direct compliance projects for state, federal, and commercial clients and is responsible for overseeing project development, direction, coordination, and quality control, under the guidance of the Principal Paleontologist. Additionally, the Senior Paleontologist will train staff, oversee field directors, produce quality reports, manage multiple projects and budgets, author proposals and participate in marketing, as required.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of paleontological technical reports, CEQA/NEPA documents, impact mitigation plans, and annual permit reports.
- Preparation of cost proposals including budgets and scopes of work.
- Project management: implementation of projects from kickoff to completion, including client and agency coordination, project scheduling, coordination of support staff, and budget management.
Implementation of resource impact mitigation measures including monitoring and fossil collection projects of all types and sizes.
- Participation in and logistical planning for field projects from inception to completion across the western US.
- Supervision and training of field crews, management and QA/QC of field data, and coordination with land management agencies and clients.
- Detailed and accurate field data collection (including ability to collect data using table computers and

Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Demonstrated professional experience and competency with paleontological resource mitigation procedures and techniques.

Bike & Pedestrian Community Engagement Specialist
to support active transportation outreach across Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a casual part-time position eligible to work up to 19 hours per week.
JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the Club Ride Event Squad, you will be responsible for staffing bike/ped safety events, conducting walking and bicycling education, and promoting safe, healthy, and sustainable travel options at locations throughout Clark County.
This work supports regional goals to expand safe walking and biking, improve mobility for residents of all ages, reduce traffic injuries, and encourage multimodal travel across Southern Nevada.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct onsite bike/ped outreach events, demonstrations, and community activities that promote safe walking and biking.
Engage with residents, families, youth, and older adults in English and Spanish to provide safety information and encourage active transportation.
Effectively and persuasively communicate to influence, motivate, and inform community members about walking and bicycling as viable daily travel options.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of bicycle and pedestrian safety practices, Nevada state laws, local trail networks, and available mobility resources.
Execute prescheduled community events, open streets activities, bike rodeos, helmet fittings, pedestrian safety trainings, and pop-up safety demonstrations.
Deliver presentations and hands-on learning at employer sites, community centers, schools, senior facilities, and public events.
Provide basic bicycle and helmet fittings and demonstrate safe riding and walking behaviors.
Guide individuals on how to access local walking/biking routes, safety programs, mobility incentives, and transportation resources.
Assist neighborhoods and community partners with active transportation education, walking groups, cycling programs, and safety campaigns.
Increase program awareness and participation rates among residents by communicating the benefits of walking and biking for health, safety, and reduced congestion.
Serve as an active transportation resource for partner organizations throughout Clark County.
Communicate and provide support to program participants and community members.

As a Senior Electrical Estimator at Stantec, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating large electrical cost estimates. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of cost estimators, schedulers, and construction engineers in Stantec's construction engineering group. You will be responsible for coordinating teams of discipline estimators, and the position will frequently require the direct estimating of at least one other project discipline. Your Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the timely and complete development of electrical cost estimates.
- Provide generally non-routine estimating guidance for projects.
- Coordinate the input parameters for cost estimates and construction schedules.
- Validate material takeoffs and construction quantities from drawings.
- Coordinate and compile information from all estimating disciplines into one cost estimate.
- Prepare basis of cost estimate report deliverables for the end user.
- Establish site-specific estimating criteria including wage and person-hour productivity rates.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
- A Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive electrical estimating experience working with contract values more than $1 Million.
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Extensive technical knowledge of electrical cost/estimating, engineering design, and construction practice and applicable standards and procedures.
- Knowledge in one or more of the following estimating disciplines: High Voltage, Solar, instrumentation, Process Plants, AACE guidelines. National Electrical Code.
- Advanced understanding of different contract methods and how they apply to estimating.
- Experience with Sage Timberline Estimating, On-Screen Take-Off, MCASES MII, IPE, HCSS or other databased estimating platforms.
- Experience utilizing MS Project or Primavera P6 schedule software.
- Ability to travel for site reconnaissance and interfacing with clients and stakeholders (domestic and some international travel may be periodically required).
- Experience working with other discipline estimators to develop a comprehensive project estimate.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present cost estimating projects.

+ Creating written technical documents, technical drawings, specifications, cost estimates, alternatives analyses,and other common engineering deliverables
+ Having familiarity with design guides, standards, systems, and applicable engineering codes relevant to the hydropower industry
+ Demonstrating the ability to leverage knowledge of general engineering principles including hydraulics, civil/structural design, geotechnical considerations, and mechanical systems to generate unique, engineered solutions.
+ Preparing and overseeing the preparation of calculations and design documents.
+ Participating in equipment procurement and construction management processes.
+ Managing and mentoring junior engineers.
+ Providing support to business development teams for pursuit activities with the opportunity to lead projects that you pursue and acquire.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience with West Coast hydropower clients
+ Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Business
+ Geotechnical License in CA or ability to obtain
+ Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
+ Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
