This is an onsite role to provide construction observation of wastewater pumping and treatment plant facilities in Orange County, CA. Position will primarily work in a field setting. While the work is typically an 8-hour workday Monday through Friday, there may be occasions that the work will require overtime, nights, and/or weekends. Field work may include. In this role you will complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline. This position is HYBRID and requires a minimum of 2 days in office per week. **What You'll Be Doing:** + Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately. + Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings. + Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. + Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. + Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments. + Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. + Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. + Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project. + Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 8+ years of related work experience. + Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required. + Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required. + Experience in Civil Infrastructure to include, site design, roads, site grading and drainage, utilities, stormwater design on US Government projects. + Proficiency in Civil 3D is desired. **What Desired Skills You'll Bring:** + Professional Engineer registration. **Security Clearance Requirement:** None This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
