The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is an advanced problem solver with strong capabilities in data modeling, Power Platform development, and business intelligence. The analyst will implement analytical tools, modernize reporting processes, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and leverage creative techniques to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics solutions-including dashboards, data models, applications, and automated workflows-using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and related Microsoft technologies. Collect, prepare, and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to organizational data standards. Streamline and automate data collection and transformation processes, creating repeatable and efficient routines for ongoing reporting and analytics needs. Interpret data trends, patterns, and performance indicators to support program management, operational decision-making, and strategic planning across the organization. Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical partners to evaluate challenges, gather requirements, recommend strategies, and deliver tailored analytics solutions. Document business requirements, system logic, data flows, development steps, and deployment procedures to ensure clarity, maintainability, and continuity across the analytics lifecycle. Conduct data validation and quality assurance activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational and client expectations. Provide technical support and user assistance for dashboards, applications, and automated workflows, including troubleshooting issues and guiding users through new capabilities. Contribute to the development and refinement of analytics standards, best practices, and governance approaches, helping strengthen the quality and consistency of solutions across the team. Engage in collaborative problem solving across multidisciplinary groups, working with engineers, program managers, and technical specialists to identify opportunities for improved insights and data-driven outcomes. Participate in project planning and coordination, supporting the execution of analytics tasks, timelines, and deliverables within broader project or program efforts. Help mentor junior team members informally, sharing expertise and offering technical guidance to elevate the overall capability of the analytics team. Typical Assignments: Collect, integrate, and prepare data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and readiness for reporting and analytics. Develop and maintain Power BI datasets, data models, and dashboards, applying strong data modeling and visualization practices. Build and enhance Power Apps and Power Automate solutions to support workflow efficiency, data entry, and process automation. Transform raw data into structured, meaningful formats, applying business rules, validation steps, and quality checks. Analyze data to identify trends and performance insights, presenting findings in a clear and actionable manner. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand needs and determine areas where analytics can drive improvements. Prepare reports, documentation, and visual presentations summarizing project tasks, methods, and analytical results. Support testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of dashboards, applications, and automated workflows to ensure long-term reliability and usability. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field is preferred. 5-7 years of hands-on experience developing analytics solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Strong background in data structures, data modeling, relational concepts, and data transformation techniques. Proficiency with SQL, Power Query, and other tools used for data preparation and integration. Demonstrated experience analyzing complex datasets and presenting insights in clear, compelling formats. Proven ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, ensuring solutions align with stakeholder goals and constraints. Familiarity with scripting or analytics languages (e.g., Python, R) is preferred but not required. Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and supporting project- or program-focused analytics needs. Prior experience mentoring junior staff or contributing to analytics best practices is a plus. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct continuous process improvement using a framework that identifies a baseline of performance, moves to a period of assessment and adjustment of performance, to be followed by a period of sustained continuous process improvement. The framework shall be complementary to the Baldrige criteria to support the SPD organization in achieving organizational readiness to submit its application for examination and favorable feedback. The result should be an integration of processes that produce efficient, repeatable and measurable high performing products and services. Work with the baseline of standard operating procedures, workflows, and service level of agreements to improve efficiencies in operations, workforce capabilities, and support technologies. Assist with preparing for examinations and for sharing how their operations and strategies align and are measured to support workflow and or function creation, elimination, reduction, or enhancement. Facilitate several sessions with the workforce subject matter experts to gain input and ideas for proposing improvements to the leadership. The sessions shall be planned, coordinated with SPD leadership, and have agendas stating the specific outcome. During the sessions, the employee shall use interventions that stimulate thought and input and lead to the stated outcomes. Create minutes for all meetings, and those meetings shall be shared for verification and validation with the attendees. Once updated from attendee input, the minutes shall contribute to the creation, update, or elimination of final documents, not limited to standard procedures, policy, workflows, or process strategy. Prepare business requirements as the organization seeks technology solutions to improve functional operations. Coordinate information and data collection through joint sessions with all users and viewers of the new technology, which may include scheduling and collaborating system testing through requirements traceability, user acceptance testing, and metrics reports testing. This CPA would be a direct member of the Corporate and Transactional Group and work alongside its attorneys. Having practiced together the majority of their legal careers, the attorneys in our Corporate and Transactional Group are a tight-knit group, and we are looking for another valued member to join. The person who previously held this position moved to another industry. This CPA analyst would also assist in estate and gift planning analysis to work in conjunction with the other CPA analysts who work at the firm. These services would include review of gift tax returns and some assistance in reviewing and drafting wills, trusts and other estate planning documents.
