Job Duties:
Assist engineers and project managers with day-to-day project tasks as required for successful project delivery. Tasks may include:
Transportation design including roadway design and traffic analysis.
Preparation of reports, maps, drawings, bid documents, and project plans.
Performing drainage design analysis including ditches, storm sewers, and erosion control.
Developing plans including plan views, profiles, typical sections, and cross sections sheets.
Writing reports for permits and documentation.
Performing takeoffs for quantities and cost estimates.
Possible field assignments including pavements inventories, culvert inventories, and construction inspection.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with CADD design software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD (required).
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (required).
Proficient in MicroStation with familiarity with roadway design software such as OpenRoads Designer and GEOPAK (preferred).

This role is for a CivilEngineer focusing on Mission Critical Data Center projects within our Community Development Group. Within this team, you will have the opportunity to work on Data Center projects of various sizes across the country. The engineers on this team are a core design group dedicated to serving Data Center clients and similar major commercial programs. The projects they work on require a variety and diverse set of skills to assist our clients with site due diligence, design, entitlement approvals, permitting, and construction. Within this team you will be exposed to different design requirements across multiple geographic regions as well as different Mission Critical and commercial projects of various sizes and operational needs. This position involves working collaboratively within the Mission Critical core design team, project partners, and various different services in the development of private civil site designs; construction plans and specifications; preparing reports, studies, and construction contract documents; computing quantities and preparing opinions of cost; performing field observations and assisting in the coordination and management of construction activities.
Your Key Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities
Perform water/wastewater engineering design which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support engineering projects such as water and sewer pipelines, pump stations, tunnels, and water and wastewater treatment systems.
Perform calculations to analyze and design water/wastewater system components.
Assist in the evaluation and selection of water/wastewater systems and materials and the development of water/wastewater specifications.
Contribute to the development of water/wastewater systems, through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations, client contact and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables.
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
Prepare water/wastewater engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans and schedules.
Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks.
Recognize when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions.
Attends and assists in client, contractor, stakeholder, and regulatory agency meetings to gain a better understanding of client's goals, site assessments, and vendor/equipment supplier contacts and coordination.
Participate in basic cost estimating under the direction of technical leaders to support engineering projects.
Perform other duties as assigned by seniorengineering staff.
All other duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Education: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to successfully obtain within twelve (12) months.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
