Tenstreet is a growing, fast-paced, SaaS business providing solutions for the transportation industry. Together we're disrupting the ways in which companies recruit, onboard, and manage drivers. We're a team of overachievers who excel in execution, collaboration, and problem solving.
*This is a hybrid position based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The People Ops team champion Tenstreet's vibrant culture. They aim to approach individuals on the team holistically rather than a cog or resource in a machine. They're enthralled with understanding the gifts, passions, abilities, potential and experiences of everyone at Tenstreet.
The People Operations team at Tenstreet has tremendous leverage across every aspect of the day-to-day business. This influence in shaping the future of Tenstreet is not aspirational, but a vital part of our strategic growth as a business. As a result, we're looking for someone with experience in shaping real outcomes in business operations.
People Operations at Tenstreet is not the same as HR and we've built an unorthodox approach to cultivating the culture. As a result, sometimes more traditional terms and titles don't directly apply to the way People Ops functions within Tenstreet. This job post is our best attempt to translate what we do with more traditional People Operations and HR teams.
This People Ops team member will focus on belonging and becoming (traditional terms might be “engagement” and “development”) across Tenstreet. You'll help new team members acclimate, grow, and succeed while partnering with leaders and individual team members to strengthen and co-create the culture.
The People Ops Team member will be responsible for:
Cultivating Team Member Experience: Through the context of relationships, you'll design and implement initiatives that create the best opportunity for team members to find success. This includes the ongoing onboarding of new Tenstreet team members from the first day to the end of their first year, through cohorts and ongoing coaching.
Championing Tenstreet's Culture: Set the table for new team members to be successful by leading them to discover, embrace and co-create Tenstreet's unique virtues and practices.
Supporting Development: Facilitate, moderate and curatetraining and strategic experiences that foster personal and professional growth.
Collaborating Across People Ops: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth pre-hire and post-hire processes.
Driving New Initiatives: Lead People Ops projects aligned with your strengths and emerging skills.
Other related tasks as needed.
You may be a fit if:
You communicate effectively and naturally build trusting relationships.
You're a confident, proactive, capable leader who gets things done.
You think strategically about culture and engagement.
You are a highly motivated, driven, and self-starting individual with a positive attitude.
You bring integrity, accountability, and attention to the lasting effects of everything you do.
You think a lot about the personalities and motivations of people and can connect those to meaningful activities in the organization.
You find yourself captivated with systemic ways in which people within an organization belong, connect, grow and learn.
You not only have a history of diagnosing systemic problems in a scaling business but have found success in altering the way the core business functions for both better profitability and aligning untapped potential of individuals within the business.
Your school of experience involves experimenting with new initiatives that iterate to better care for people and also align with business goals.
You understand that growing businesses grow opportunity for individuals within the team and can balance the occasional tension between the two.
Our team comes from a variety of backgrounds. While no experience perfectly translates to what the People Ops team does at Tenstreet, maybe you have some experience in areas that translate.
With that in mind, these may be true:
You've been sought out as a coach by individuals or groups as they effect change within a growing business.
You've partnered with executive leaders to make strategic business plans and their impacts on people within a business.
You've led or been a crucial member of a People Team in growing business.
You're an HR Business Partner who leans into strategy and partnership rather than policy and support.
You have experience in adult education and facilitating the learning journey of individuals who are engaged and growing.
You've facilitated strategic initiatives to develop emerging leaders.
What we'll provide you:
A unique opportunity to be a meaningful part of a People team that is creating a new and intentional way of leading people in a modern business.
A positive and generative work environment enabling you to develop your skills, collaborate with other professionals, and invest in others.
A work community that strives to take great care of you and provides great benefits like great compensation, health insurance, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and others.
