Partners Group LTD history

TPG merged with Baldwin Resource Group (BRG). Founded by Bill Baldwin in 1998, BRG specialized in insurance solutions, employee benefits, risk management, and business consulting.

Jo Bryson, former CEO of the OMA, has known Bruce since 2002, and she stated, “The relationship between customer (OMA) and vendor (Kerr-Cruickshank) blossomed.”

Partners Group is a joint stock company under Swiss law, listed on the Swiss Exchange since its 2006 initial public offering (minority floating). Around 45% of the shares are held by all employees and partners.

When Judy retired in 2007, TPG created a service award named in her honor.

BRG later merges with TPG in 2011, bringing co-founder Bill Meacham on board.

Three new offices open in Sydney, Luxembourg and Beijing (our China office is later relocated to Shanghai in 2014). Partners Group signs up to the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment (UNPRI) and is among the first private markets signatories.

As of 2016, according to Forbes' annual billionaire's list, founders Gantner, Erni, and Wietlisbach are listed as three of the 25 wealthiest private equity managers in the world, each with net worths totaling $1.3 billion.

In January 2018, Royal Dutch Shell purchased the company's 44% minority interest in solar energy firm Silicon Ranch for an estimated $200 million.

Our Health & Productivity division (renamed PartnerWell in 2019) was added.

In September 2020, Partners Group is admitted to the blue-chip Swiss Market Index (SMI) of the Top 20 largest Swiss stocks.
