Responsibilities include:
Providing exceptional customer service to all customers Ensure all parts orders are accurate Assist customers to determine necessary parts information such as parts numbers, quantities, sourcing, freight, timelines, etc. Assist in all areas of Parts department as needed Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Position Requirements:


High school graduate or equivalent At least 2 years experience in a customer service role Mechanical aptitude Strong Computer skills Professional communication skills: verbal, written, email, phone, face-to-face Ability to work as part of a team and individually to achieve department and company goals Dedication to providing exceptional customer service Outgoing, positive personality Self-motivated, willing to go above and beyond to get the job done

As an Parts Counter Salesperson with Transwest you will be responsible for the retail, commercial and industrial sales of transportation products and services to retail customers and the Transwest Service Department. The Parts Counter associates must be a good steward of Transwest, cross sell departments, utilize and manage all company resources, meet departmental objectives and be above all reproach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers who either visit the dealership or call.Maintain familiarity with all inventory products, merchandising programs and ordering systems.Utilize and maintain parts technical resources with the most current information.Understand dealership credit policies.Acknowledge customer(s) as soon as possible upon arrival.Research parts and process paperwork as needed.Communicate with clients and vendors.Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:Requires frequent sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling and crouching.Required to lift up to 85 lbs.Normal range hearing and vision.Required manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input.May be required to operate equipment such as a forklift or manual pallet jack in a safe manner at all times.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSHigh School diploma or equivalent. Good standing MVR.Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.Direct industry experience selling vehicle parts through distribution and/or directly to the end user.Knowledge of computers is a must.Knowledge of diesel engines, gas engines, drive train, and suspensions.Excellent verbal and communication skills.Provide outstanding customer service.Detail oriented.Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
