Job Duties

Job duties for a parts counter salesperson include:

  • Handle the needs of both the service technicians as well as the wholesale customers
  • Tracking all incoming and outgoing parts for a dealership
  • Locating available parts when the dealership is out of stock
  • Handling parts payment collection and making sure all parts are billed correctly through the service department.
  • Referring to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced

BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

Generates revenue by increasing parts sales, gaining more dealer share of Kubota parts, and elevating Kubota brand awareness through dealer education and promotion of branded products to include batteries, lubricants, workshop and other products as introduced.This position is also responsible for conducting annual regional dealer parts training seminars to further educate dealers and enhance the overall Kubota dealer parts experience.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company's policies, procedures and guidelines:

* Analyze and review all aspects of the parts business with dealership parts and service personnel in a coordinated effort to increase parts sales.
* Responsible for developing training content.
* Provide key dealers with parts marketing and merchandising guidance to promote the Kubota brand image and product awareness.
* Provide annual regional dealer parts training to improve dealership inadequacies, educate dealership personnel in Kubota parts systems, policies and procedures to enhance the overall Kubota dealer parts experience.
* Solicit dealer involvement in parts sales promotions and other parts-related programs as introduced.
* Evaluate competitive products information and develop selling strategies to increase Kubota parts sales and brand awareness and recognition.
* Provide management with periodic sales trends, analysis and forecasts.
* Administer parts sales and branded products telemarketing campaigns utilizing available resources within division Parts and Wholegoods office.
* Attend/participate in related business meetings and conferences.
* Additional duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred:
* With a degree at least 5 Years of experience in the AG industry and/or 2-3 years of experience in a sales role required.
* In lieu of a degree at least 7 years of experience in the AG industry and/or 2-3 years of experience in a sales role required.
* Proficiency in software applications to include SAP, MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and other business software solutions.
* Mentor/training experience preferred.
* Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION (% of time, description, nature of service):

* Agricultural and construction equipment manufactured by Kubota and competitive manufacturers.
