Overview The Operational Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the iteration, implementation, and maintenance credit union's operational risk management framework, inclusive of the Business Continuity Program. This role ensures that internal controls are effective and that the organization complies with regulatory standards while maintaining member trust and operational resilience. Responsibilities * Assist in the development and implementation of the credit union's Operational Risk Management (ORM) program, inclusive of business continuity. * Support the development of comprehensive methodology to effectively analyze operational risk events, identify root causes, and recommend targeted mitigated measures. * Investigate and document operational incidents and loss events and make recommendations for process and control improvements. * Assist in developing and maintaining risk management policies and procedures. * Contribute to risk and control assessments * Support risk awareness and training initiatives across the organization. * Provide risk input on new initiatives, vendor assessments, and system changes. * Prepare reports for executive leadership, risk committees, and regulators on program effectiveness. * Assist in the maturation, maintenance, and testing of the Business Continuity Program. * Support Business Continuity Program by participating in assessments, maintaining documentation, conducting Business Impact Analysis, and developing response and recovery strategies. * Coordinate and conduct business continuity exercises, analyze results, and recommend improvements. * Ensure the credit unions continued alignment with NCUA, FFIEC, and other regulatory guidelines. * Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk and develop mitigations strategies. * Proficiency in operational risk tools, BCP/DR tools, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms * Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports, policies, and training materials. * Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across business units. * Self-motivated and ability to adhere to deadlines. * Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union's policies and procedures. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. * 3+ years of experience in operational risk management, preferably in a financial institution. * Familiarity with fraud detection, risk modeling, and regulatory compliance (e.g., NCUA, FFIEC guidelines) * Knowledge of operational risk tools such as risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs), key risk indicators (KRIs), and incident tracking. * Preferred Certifications: * PRIMA Professional Risk Manager (PRM) * Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) * This role is located at Dublin HQ Target Base Pay $97,660 / yr Compensation at Patelco Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
