Overview The Senior Analyst, Security Governance Risk & Compliance will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the Patelco Security GRC program by identifying, assessing and managing risks while ensuring adherence to internal policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role collaborates with business and technology teams to strengthen risk management practices, maintain security and compliance frameworks, and drive continuous improvement in Patelco's overall security posture. Responsibilities * Supports the development and on-going management of the Security Governance, Risk & Compliance program * Develops and maintains security standards, process documentations and control objectives * Develops and maintains security control mappings to relevant frameworks * Matures and enhance the information security awareness and training program * Performs and manages the Information Security, Information Technology and Third-Party risk assessments * Develops and maintains the risk and controls register and monitor risk treatment strategies and control effectiveness * Monitor and escalate unresolved security issues, exposures, misuse, policy violations and other non-compliance situations to Security Leadership * Provide continuous tracking and monitoring of Security Program metrics * Work closely with First Line of Defense teams, to identify potential security weaknesses, define potential impact and develop effective mitigation strategies * Collaborate with Internal Audit and Compliance teams for security and technology audit-related activities * Monitor industry regulatory environment for impact on security programs and changes to security compliance standards * Performs other duties as may be assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field of interest or equivalent work experience. * Professional certifications in Information Security, Risk Management and/or Compliance is preferred - CISSP, CISA, CRISC, etc. * Minimum of 10 years in Information Security with GRC as focus area. * Minimum of 5 years with Third Party Risk Management * Minimum of 5 years performing qualitative and quantitative IT/IS risk assessments * Extensive experience with Information Security and Risk Management standards, practices, methods, frameworks including NIST, PCI, ISO 27001, ISO 27005, FAIR, OCTAVE, etc. * General understanding of security risks and trends, security compliance assessments, and audits. * Strong experience in developing information security documentation - standards, procedures and guidelines Physical Activities/Requirements * This is a hybrid role based out of our Dublin Headquarters 3x/week. The Tax Team function within Schwab Asset Management (SAM) is primarily responsible for all tax matters relating Schwab's proprietary mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and alternative products. The Tax Team is looking for a Senior Manager to support their growing team. This individual is responsible for ensuring the various tax requirements and regulations are satisfied for these products. As a Senior Manager you will be responsible for working with members of the Tax team and will work with other SAM departments on an ongoing basis. This role requires partnering with all functional areas within SAM including, but not limited to portfolio managers, product managers, fund accounting, trade operations, independent auditor, and financial reporting representatives. This person will ensure that internal controls are documented, implemented, and appropriately monitored as it relates to the continued analysis of new products and securities. This role also includes the responsibility to stay abreast of regulatory changes and implement those changes on a go-forward basis. The Senior Manager will also be an active participant in new product initiatives and current product business changes. This is an individual contributor role. Primary responsibilities include: * Responsibility for tax matters, including establishing tax policies, relating to alternative product types and non-traditional asset classes such as partnerships * Help oversee tax services of outside service providers to ensure deliverables are complete, accurate, and provided on time and assist with performance evaluation, recommending changes when necessary * Maintain internal control documentation and assist with the documentation of tax legal positions (ASC 740) * Be a leader in the financial statement audit process as it relates to the review of taxable income calculations and preparation of annual tax disclosures * Assist with the development, implementation, and documentation of new products and completion of new product strategies. Perform or assist in technical research and analysis related to domestic and foreign tax issues affecting various product and investment types, fund qualification and compliance matters as well as develop practical solutions * Be a leader in the development and implementation of tax accounting and reporting policies and continually improving procedures to facilitate pro-active identification, management, and resolution of tax issues * Be a leader in year-end excise tax distributions process * Be a leader in the shareholder tax reporting process * Review various tax filings (e.g. Federal, state, foreign, partner) and ensure timely and accurate filing * Work closely with other departments within Schwab and outside service providers; i.e., fund accounting, portfolio management, marketing, transfer agency, financial reporting, product teams, sales strategy, inside counsel, independent auditors, and external tax authorities What you have Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree required * A minimum of 10 years of experience in taxation of partnerships and regulated investment companies (RICs) at a major accounting firm or in the asset management industry * Proficient knowledge of partnerships, RICs, financial instruments, and strategies * Strong project management, vendor management and research skills Preferred Qualifications * CPA or Masters in Tax preferred * Proven verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact within all levels of SAM and with other external/internal partners * Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines * Drive and skillset to identify areas of opportunity and implement effective change and automation * Proactively support business partners and overall company goals through collaboration and effective networking * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to deliver clear and concise analysis In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.

Overview The Senior Accountant is responsible for operational accounting and controls and General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations supporting the Finance team at Patelco Credit Union. In this role, responsibilities for the Senior Accountant include, but are not limited to being a subject matter expert for GL account reconciliations and recording of day-to-day operational transactions, preparing specialized reports and analyses; developing accounting procedures and controls; business process re-engineering and providing leadership and assistance to less experienced accounting staff. This Senior Accountant in this role performs complex tasks requiring advanced professional experience, knowledge and competency in accounting principles and practices. This position requires an organized, technically proficient accountant with an analytical mind and learning agility. They will possess the ability to utilize critical thinking, discretion and judgment on assignments that are varied, diverse and difficult in nature. Responsibilities * Ensure appropriate technical accounting is applied to recording Patelco's products and services under accounting standards codification and/or regulatory requirements. * Perform varying month-end close tasks, such as operational entries as well as perform variance analysis and interact with business partners to resolve and document variances, and validation of transactions and balances in accordance with audit and internal control techniques. * Effectively describe accounting processes and controls with external and internal auditors, and provide supporting documentation as requested * Prepare financial analysis and schedules in response to management requests, including summary schedules appropriate for senior level audience * Assist in the preparation of technical accounting memos providing documentation of the company's application of accounting principles to specific transactions. * Analyze daily and monthly general ledger transactions * Create and update standard of procedures, process flowcharts and documentation of significant processes. * Interact and partner with other Patelco teams and provide strong consultation feedback as it relates to accounting matters * Prepare high-volume/complex GL account reconciliations ensuring appropriate support and resolve out of proof conditions. * Perform review and approval on GL account reconciliations, * Ensures appropriate reserves and write-offs are completed for aged reconciling items in accordance with policy * Identify, communicate, and assist in implementing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains * Contribute to automation efforts of reconciliations processes through implementation of technology solutions (ex: BlackLine) and project management * Assess and make internal control recommendations to reduce financial statement risk * Multi-task priorities in a fast-paced work environment and meet deadlines * Identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change * Lead and collaborate to execute with a results-orientation * Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union's policies and procedures. * Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred) * 7+ years' accounting in one or a combination of internal/external audit, operational accounting, or internal controls experience * Strong understanding and hands-on experience applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Accounting Codification Standards and internal controls. * Financial institution experience preferred * Public accounting or audit experience is a plus * Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities Physical Activities/Requirements * Located at Dublin, CA headquarters * Hybrid - 3 on-site days per week Target Base Pay $88,488 - $110,607 per year Compensation at Patelco Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. This strategist defines what education experiences we should build, why they matter, and how they create value for participants and plan sponsors-while partnering with execution teams to bring the strategy to life.
