POSITION OVERVIEW:
CFTSS Clinical services are provided to children/youth and are intended to help identify and prevent the progression of behavioral health needs through early identification and intervention. Services may be provided to children/youth in need of assessment for whom behavioral conditions have not yet been diagnosed or to youth with a diagnosis for whom flexible community-based treatment is needed to correct or ameliorate a developmental delay or problem in functioning or capacity for healthy relationships. The clinician conducts a comprehensive assessment to determine if children/youth are eligible for CFTSS, makes recommendations regarding which CFTSS services are to be provided, and completes a treatment plan, which serves as a rehabilitative service package to support a child and family whose needs may be complex and/or require flexible nontraditional approaches. We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive therapist to join our team, providing high-quality behavioral health services to individuals in the Bronx. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide individual and/or group therapy to clients in community-based settings and virtually as needed.
Facilitate psychoeducational and skills-building groups within Jewish Board community residences and for external clients (in-person or via telehealth).
Conduct outreach to potential partner agencies for collaborative opportunities and community engagement.

The purpose of a Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) Therapist in Preventive Service Department is to provide the TST model for families with child(ren) (ages 5 and over) who are impacted by trauma and there may be risk for foster care placement. The Preventive Services Department provides child welfare services using Evidence Based models to ensure that families are able to provide safe environments for their children, keep children safe in their homes and reduce the need for foster care. POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Therapist works with families to assess their needs, develop intervention plans, and deliver therapy sessions that are tailored to the family's unique circumstances. Therapist - Counseling Center - 60% Full-Time (21 hours per week)
The Trauma Therapist position is 60% of a full-time position (21 hours per week) and is a hybrid position with 11 hours onsite and 10 hours remote. Onsite hours include 4 hours every Saturday and one shift from 12:00 to 8:00 during the week. This is an excellent position for clinicians in need of licensing hours and who wish to become experts in several evidence-based treatments for survivors of all ages of interpersonal violence.
The Safe Horizon Counseling Center (SHCC) is a New York State-licensed outpatient mental health clinic that specializes, exclusively, in the trauma-focused treatment of child and adult survivors of interpersonal violence and other forms of abuse. SHCC also functions as the mental health “hub” of Safe Horizon, the largest crime victim's assistance agency in the country. Our main clinic is located at 41 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, and we operate two satellites that are co-located at other Safe Horizon programs. Nearly half of SHCC's clients are referred by one of Safe Horizon's vast arrays of programs. The Trauma Therapist will receive paid training and supervision in a variety of evidence-based treatments for trauma survivors, and the client hours meet New York State's experience requirements for LCSW licensure.
Responsibilities:
Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients.
Demonstrates exceptional engagement skills and clinical expertise in the provision of trauma-focused mental health treatment to SHCC clients (at least 60% engagement rate after 6 months);
Provides time-limited, evidence-based trauma-focused individual treatment to clients of all ages;
Develops and maintains expertise in the clinic's chosen methods of treatment including TF-CBT and Seeking Safety, as well as CPP, ARC, SPARCS, and CFTSI, as assigned;
Monitors treatment fidelity following training in evidence-based treatments;
Responds to the occasional client crisis, as necessary, with the support of the Clinical Director and/or Clinical Supervisor;
Requests and participates in case conferences as necessary;
Maintains a caseload of 16 clients at all times
Maintains a productivity level of 12 billable services per week (totaling 564 billable visits per year)

Must be able to attend weekly meetings on Zoom every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for training and group supervision.

Family Service Agency's Youth and Behavioral Health (YFBH) team is expanding! YFBH is contracted with various community partners to provide therapeutic services to children and adults. Position Summary
The Psychotherapist works with children and their families to help them cope with trauma and a range of diagnoses. The Psychotherapist uses individualized treatment plans and a variety of non-medical trauma- informed, evidence-based treatments to support children and youth who are in foster care or who have been in foster care. Psychotherapy may work with the caregiver and child dyad, address thought processes, feelings, and behavior, as well as find healthier ways to deal with, and alleviate stress and symptoms.
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct weekly or biweekly individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions with children and families
Work collaboratively with birth parents, foster parents, case planning team, medical team, and HCM team to meet treatment goals of children and youth
Complete Annual Screenings for children and youth on caseload and as designated by MH Administrators
Complete MH Intake Screenings, as requested
Complete Complex Trauma Assessments, as requested
Complete MH Screening packets at initial intake and quarterly to assess progress in treatment areas
Develop appropriate treatment goals, evaluate therapy outcome, and write reports
Monitor treatment plans and modify them when needed
Collaborate with case-planning staff in providing suggestions for therapeutic interventions with clients
Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed models (e.g., CPP, EMDR, TF-CBT, CBT+, PCIT)
Participate in individual and group supervision, and evidence-based practice trainings and consultation calls, as needed
Concurrently complete progress notes for each session and complete initial treatment plans, quarterly progress reports, and termination summaries
Attend Family Team Conferences facilitated by the case planning department and complete Comprehensive Treatment Plans
Qualifications:
LCSW-R, LCSW, LMSW, or Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) required
Experience providing therapy with children under the age of 5 required
Experience with evidence-based models (e.g., CPP, TF-CBT, CBT+, EMDR) preferred
At least two years of experience with children and families is preferred
Experience providing family therapy preferred
Ability to establish effective working relationship with supervisors, caseworkers, clerical staff as well as with youth and families
Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team

As a leader in trauma-informed care, Children's Institute provides counseling services to children, adolescents, transition-aged youth and parents in our intensive and non-intensive behavioral health and wellness programs:
Intensive- CII offers several intensive behavioral health programs for children/youth between the ages of 0 to 21 years who have Medi-cal insurance and are experiencing a broad range of risky behaviors. We provide 24/7 crisis support, individual/family counseling and therapy, assistance with community resources such as housing and physical health care, psychiatric services and medication support. Full Service Partnership (FSP) - is an intensive behavior health program that supports children/youth engaged in risky behaviors and their families.

Clients in the School-Aged program are Medi-Cal recipients living in LA Metro or South Los Angeles and experiencing behaviors that impact their child's well-being and happiness.

Culturally Informed and Flexible Family-Based Treatment for Adolescents (CIFFTA) - is an outpatient treatment for youth ages 11-18 designed to modify adolescent conduct problems, depression, school failure, family conflict, delinquency, drug use and/or problematic sexual behavior. In addition to reducing risk factors, CIFFTA identifies and strengthens protective/resiliency factors. CIFFTA combines family treatment, individual treatment, and psycho-educational modules in a highly strategic and effective manner. The program will be specifically focused on SPAs 4, 6 and 8 but will be available to any adolescent and their families in Los Angeles County.

SUMMARY
To provide a safe and favorable therapeutic climate for each client in the residential programs. The therapist is responsible for providing residential youth and their families or caregivers with an array of therapeutic services, working in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary teams at the Center and school. Accepts screened intake assignments and completes intake protocols (including assessment) and general orientation of the student and caregivers to the program.
Facilitates wide array of therapeutic interventions within individual, family therapy and counseling, group, and conjoint modalities. In-home therapy services and assessments may be indicated with some assigned cases.
Functions as primary individual therapist and family therapist for all assigned cases. Provides weekly individual, group and family sessions, as clinically indicated and/or required on the students IEP.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation as per SDCC protocols and requirements.

Maintain communication with program manager and all other internal or external stakeholders as indicated regarding the treatment progress of assigned cases and discharges. This includes but is not limited to residential director, psychiatrist, nursing department, direct care staff, school staff, social workers, CASA, mentors and caregivers.
Communicate with shift supervisors and direct care staff regularly to provide guidance on individualized interventions and how to assist youth on making progress toward their goals.
Maintain radio according to Residential protocols if in possession.
Formulate, monitor, and revise treatment plan as clinically indicated. Address specific short term and long term goals, for the youth and caregivers based on assessments and input from the youth, family and team (e.g. IEP, CFT, Treatment Team). Coordinate and ensure the implementation of the treatment plan.
Participates in staff meetings, CFT's, Treatment Teams, Individualized Education Plan Meetings, and other meetings as assigned.
Provide referrals as indicated.
Responsible for fostering a staff and peer culture which results in a therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must have a current license or pre-license number issued by the State of California oversight board for that license: ASW/LCSW, AMF, MFT/MFC, Psych Assistant, PhD or PsyD. LPCC/APCC may be considered with additional educational requirements.
Registered with the BBS
Valid California Driver's License (CDL)
Master's degree from an accredited university.
Experience working with youth and caregivers.
Must be able to demonstrate skill in writing clinical notes, assessments, and clinical formulation. Documentation and clinical formulation writing skills will be tested.
