How you will change lives

What you'll be doing

Technician Duties. You will ensure quality comes first by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control, ensuring all protocols and regulations are followed.
Safety and Quality. You will use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment. Working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, you will adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations. You will participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.

Care Giver:

Follows re-fill process for medications.
Participates in the development of the Service Plan and monthly updates.
Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration rates.

Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:

Assist residents as assigned with a high quality of medication administration assistance per individual Care Plan/ISP as directed by physician orders.
Assist all residents/clients with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy (where applicable).
Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
Make beds as needed in A.M., turn down as needed in P.M., strip beds once each week or PRN (where applicable).
Communicate to residents, families, Department Heads and the Director of Resident Services when needed.
Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

What we're looking for

* Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.

Other requirements
* Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency; this includes successful completion of USRC training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
* CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
* PatientCare Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter. Specific state requirements may be applicable and required.
