This is a vital role that supports the healthcare of active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. The Medical Assistant will perform both administrative and clinical duties under the supervision of a healthcare provider. Duties and Responsibilities Patient Care and Preparation: Greet and escort patients to examination rooms. Measure and record patients' vital signs, height, and weight. Take and document patient medical histories and current information in the electronic health record (EHR). Prepare and set up the necessary equipment and instruments for examinations and procedures. Clinical Assistance: Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures, including casting, splinting, and dressing changes. A national Medical Assistant certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT) is often strongly preferred or required within a specific timeframe.
