Envision Imaging is seeking a Patient Care Technician III for our North Frisco office! Pay Range $20.24 - $24.65
Summary/Objective:
The Patient Care Technician III (PCT III) is a role dedicated to ensuring the patient has an exceptional patient care experience while in our center by meeting all patient needs. The PCT III will assist the technologist through smooth patient transitions and continuously engaging with the patient on exam expectations and wait times. The PCT III may prepare the patient for the exam contrast and/or initiate IV as needed and provide medical attention for contrast reactions under the guidance of the radiologist. The PCT III will assist the patient with any incomplete clinical pre-screening forms or consents and conduct the clinical history interview in preparation for the technologist's final review. The position will perform advanced clinical screening interviews for technologist review. In addition, the PCT III will contact the referring provider office to obtain updated orders, clarify orders, and determine when a new order is required. The PCT III must ensure patients are notified when prep/exam details have changed prior to the exam's scheduled date. The PCT III is responsible for requesting and validating the patient's prior reports and images, and ensuring the clinical review has been conducted in a timely manner, prior to the patient's exam. Miscellaneous duties include: stocking the changing rooms, tech supplies etc.
Essential Functions
1. Performs detailed clinical screening of patients for technologist review. Informs technologist of any contraindicated responses that could interfere with patient safety.
2. Assists patients with securing valuables and changing into proper attire for the examination.
3. If qualified, initiates IV for contrast studies and provide medical attention for contrast reactions under the guidance of the radiologist, monitors completion and retrieves lab values. Has working knowledge of normal ranges to facilitate efficient notification to technologist/radiologist aiding in proper patient flow.
4. Prepares room and non-sterile trays as needed to assist technologists/radiologist.
5. Ensures safety procedures are followed at all times in all security zones of the Center.
6. Supports the technologists in preparing patients for the exam, helping patients on and off the imaging table, and escorting them back to the lobby or suitable waiting area.
7. Assists with the Priors Management Grid (receiving and validating priors). Obtains, imports, and validates prior outside studies.
8. Prepares images and paperwork to be sent for interpretation. Sends images through the PACS system to the appropriate location as needed.
9. Contacts referring provider office to obtain updated order and to clarify orders when needed.
10. Collaborates with the Patient Scheduling Coordinator when there is a change in exam/prep for the scheduled patient.
11. Other duties as assigned.

* Participate in the pharmaceutical care management process through reviewing member profiles, recommending members for lock-in, case management or disease management.
* Respond to and resolve issues related to member/provider complaints, claims processing issues and appeals.
Minimum requirements:
* PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy by start date.
* Registered Pharmacist; must possess an active, unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as an RPh or able to obtain one within 90 days of start date
* Authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
