Duties and Responsibilities Patient Care and Preparation: Greet and escort patients to examination rooms. Measure and record patients' vital signs, height, and weight. Take and document patient medical histories and current information in the electronic health record (EHR). Prepare and set up the necessary equipment and instruments for examinations and procedures. Clinical Assistance: Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures, including casting, splinting, and dressing changes. A national Medical Assistant certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT) is often strongly preferred or required within a specific timeframe. Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably within the last three years. Experience in an orthopedic or surgical setting is a plus.
