POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A. Education
High school diploma or GED preferred.
B. Qualifications/Experience
Six (6) months of experience, within the last three (3) years, in a hospital, clinic or in a SNF/Home Health setting as a nurse assistant, care partner, medical assistant or student nurse with one semester in a clinical setting. Internal candidates without the required experience but have a Certified Nursing Assistant license will be considered at management's discretion.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must complete annual Workplace Violence Prevention Program/Certificate, per hospital policy, during initial training/orientation but not to exceed 30 days from hire/transfer.
Current California State Nurse Assistant certification preferred.
A solid understanding of human anatomy, basic medical terminology, and rehabilitation principles is desired.
