ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plan interventions driven by the client's individual treatment plan.
Plan activities that include group psychoeducational processes, therapeutic activities, and therapeutic outings to practice social skills.
Model and facilitate skills through engagement with the client.
Participate in psychoeducational trainings to carry out job duties and continue ongoing knowledge in the field.
Actively participate in team meetings and be available as necessary for parent and school meetings.
Complete clinical documentation correctly and in a timely fashion.
Document client attendance, as well as attempted contact with parents/caregivers and other treatment providers when client attendance is inconsistent.
Keep Program Team Manager informed of attendance problems and client progress toward completion of treatment goals.
Remain informed of agency and program developments.
Respect and demonstrate an ability to maintain client confidentiality.
Support and actively promote the vision and mission of Family Service and Guidance Center.
Transport clients in agency or personal vehicle as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by team managers.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; some experience preferred in working with children with behavioral and emotional health concerns.
Must possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Must successfully pass the KBI and DCF Central Registry background investigations.
Experience:
One year of experience working with children preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office, group room, and community-based working environment, requiring a flexible schedule and approach to daily tasks. Group assignments and scheduled working hours may fluctuate to meet changing program needs. This is a direct service position with frequent interruptions. Clients often express themselves through verbal or physical acting out. Clients may yell at staff, swear, engage in property destruction, and act in a physically aggressive manner towards staff or others. It should be expected that staff will engage in physical interventions at times in order to maintain safety.

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
· Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
· Prepare the treatment room for examination of pets and all necessary medical item and supplies (e.g. vaccinations, fecal loops, slides, etc.) for the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician. Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules and regulations.
· Maintain the flow of the Cycle of Service in accordance with position. Provide Client Education regarding preventive care, Optimum Wellness Plans, and basic status of hospitalized pets. Serve as support to the Client Services Coordinator staff on an as-needed basis.
· Hold or restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation.
· Prepare routine in-house laboratory tests (e.g. canine heartworm, feline leukemia, FIV, and canine parvovirus) as allowed by state rules and regulations.
· Monitor the comfort of hospitalized patients. Ensure the comfort of hospitalized patients by "walking", exercising, feeding, and cleaning cages and pet (when approved by the veterinarian or veterinary technician).
· Bathe and dip pets when necessary to treat dermatological conditions (when advised by veterinarian or veterinary technician.
· Clean the surgical suite and instruments.
· Ensure cleanliness of the hospital including but not limited to housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, mopping, cage cleaning, trash collection and removal and instrument cleaning as outlined by hospital protocols
· Other job duties as assigned.

Prevent any acts of disrespect, abuse, neglect, or exploitation of the Individual receiving services from the Provider and to immediately report any such acts to the company and the applicable state/local agencies.
Document the Individual's progress and unusual events or occurrences. To assist the company in meeting the company's obligations under state and federal law and regulation, Provider shall complete and submit reports to the company.

Provide transportation for the Individual to service appointments and /or community activities, consistent with the Individual's Service Plan.

When labs are completed; follow-up and obtain results from Physician (Psychiatric or Primary)
Complete annual visits and follow up requirements (get clarification from doctor if not sure)-Physical, Hearing (Not required unless hearing issues/concerns), Dental, Vision
