Short Description
A Nuclear Medicine Technologist II ability to operate a PETCT and SPECT/CT unit under the guidelines of the State of NJ.
Maintains additional licensure to perform CT portion of the Nuclear Medicine exam with either an X-ray license of a NJDEP Limited or a Fusion Imaging CT Technology license.
All NM exams must be acquired and processed safe and efficiently as outlined in the department procedure manual. All studies must be of optimal standards. This includes general NM exams along with SPECT/CT and PETCT imaging.
Is responsible for completing all radiation safety measures in accordance with the hospital NJDEP Radioactive materials license.
Performs all quality control measures on all instrumentation as per manufacturer's guidelines.
Is able to assist physicians in radioactive therapeutic treatments in a safe manner according to Radiation Safety guidelines.
Is proficient in IV placement for procedures.
