    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery to join a dynamic healthcare team in a hospital setting located in Texas. This is a permanent position with a great opportunity for growth and professional development. Key Responsibilities: Provide care for patients in the cardiothoracic surgery department, including rounding in ICU and managing pre- and post-operative patients. Manage patients coming off ventilators and those recovering from open heart surgery, VATS, and lung procedures. Assist in providing care for an average of 20-25 patients at any given time. No requirement for supervising advanced practice providers. Ensure all required hospital admissions are completed as necessary. Work with a dedicated team to provide top-tier patient care, including assisting with ICU rounds and post-operative management. Work hours will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7 days a week, with rounding responsibilities in the ICU and patient management. Position Requirements: Board certification required. ACLS, BLS certifications required. Texas state licensure is mandatory. Fellowship training is preferred but not required. Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and managing high-acuity patients is highly preferred. No trauma level or pediatric care required for this role. Practice Details: Inpatient practice setting, with a focus on post-surgical patient care. Ability to handle a high volume of patients, with support available to manage patient flow effectively. Excellent team environment with ongoing support from nursing and clinical staff. Additional Information: Temporary privileges can be granted for licensure in Texas. EMR system: Epic.     The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated tasks in alignment with the PCT's training and the department's needs.
