POSITION SUMMARY We seek a dedicated Lead Medication Technician (Med Tech/CMA) to provide compassionate, direct care to our residents, assisting them with medication administration and activities of daily living, following a personalized medication and treatment plan. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the medication administration process, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations. Train and mentor staff on medication management best practices and procedures. Ensure the Med Techs and Care Partners are taking breaks as assigned Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Director to develop and implement patient individualized care plans. Monitor residents' responses to medications and report any adverse effects or concerns to the HWD. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident care activities. Order and receive medication. Conduct regular audits of medication storage and handling practices to ensure compliance with standards. Regularly review the resident's medication administration record, centrally-stored record, and pharmacy transaction record, and report any errors to the HWD. Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding medication management and health conditions. Assist the Resident Care Coordinator with scheduling as needed. Prioritize independence and provide emotional support to the residents by providing continuous engagement and companionship. According to the individual care plan, assist the residents with the daily administration of prescribed medication, including self-administration. Requirements: CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS Education and Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid state medication administration license (such as CNA/CMA/CMT/QMAP) or meet the state requirements for medication administration in assisted living. Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain. Experience, Competencies, and Skills: At least two (2) years of experience administering medications in a professional caregiving setting. Experience with memory care is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and high integrity. Strong leadership and communication skills, and a teamwork mindset. Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating our residents with dignity and respect. Willingness to participate in weekend rotation.
