This new service line is part of YVFWC's commitment to whole-person, community-based care. By bringing mammography directly to rural and underserved areas, we are removing barriers to early detection and empowering women across the Yakima Valley to take charge of their health.

What You'll Do:
Drive and maintain the mobile unit, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and proper equipment sterilization per guidelines.
Support patient care by registering, rooming, and preparing patients for exams, while promoting comfort and privacy.
Manage mobile unit logistics, including maintenance of the garage and storage area, and ensure equipment security.
Facilitate smooth patient flow by coordinating schedules, resolving issues, and supporting outreach events and health fairs.
Educate patients on cancer screenings, contributing to community health awareness.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a formal training program that includes:
At least 720 hours of medical assistant training,
Including a minimum of 160 hours of hands-on clinical externship,
From a school accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES
At least 1 year of work experience as a Medical Assistant is required
Experience operating and maintaining a recreation vehicle is preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire
WA state MA-C credential within 180 days
Other Requirements:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required at a level 10
Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage is required at time of hire
Class A or B Washington State Commercial Driver's License is required within 90 days of hire
