**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Greets visitors and patients in person, or communicates by telephone or video conferencing, upholding excellent customer service
+ Enters and updates patient demographic and financial information, ensuring the patient is fully registered as early in the process as possible
+ Obtains appropriate applications and forms, confirming signatures are on file. Photocopies/scans documents as needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets, checks-in and checks-out patients
Handles new and existing patient inquiries
Ensures patient Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and correspondence are accurate and up-to-date in the EMR system and makes updates as needed and appropriate
Collects and posts patient payments
Answers phone calls and emails relaying information and requests accurately and delivering messages as needed
Schedules, reschedules and cancels patient appointments
Provides support to their assigned doctor and assists other PCCs as needed
Provides supplement and nutraceutical information to patients and answers questions as needed
Respects patient confidentiality with a thorough understanding of the HIPAA/HITECH laws
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
A minimum of 2 years professional experience in a clinic or medical practice required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of general clinic or medical practice processes
Basic/Intermediate computer skills with a willingness to learn our intake and patientcare systems
Strong verbal/written communication and listening skills; including excellent impersonal skills and telephone communication
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to identify and resolve problems
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assignments within the time allotted and maintain standard workflow
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and coworkers
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and protected patient information

Our friendly and skilled PatientCareCoordinators are key members of our care team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of the PATIENTCARECOORDINATOR
Register and schedule patients for a range of ENT, Sleep, Imaging, Cosmetic, Allergy, Audiology, Oral Appliance, and Post-Operative appointments.
Ensure appropriate and accurate data entry of patient information.
Ensure insurance verification accuracy through EMR system and/or directly with the patients' insurance.
Ensure copies of insurance, photo ID, outside medical records, and any required referrals are entered into the EMR system.
Courteously collect outstanding balances and copayments in advance of patient appointments.
Promptly respond to patient and provider inquiries via telephone, web, SMS, and EHR systems.
Provide knowledgeable responses to patients, patient family members, providers and Chicago ENT team members in a courteous and professional manner.
Assist with group administrative tasks including:
Sorting faxes
Verifying virtually scheduled appointments via ZocDoc, Healow, and PerfectServe
Monitoring tasks assigned internally to "User, Scheduler" and "User, Front Desk" as assigned by the Scheduling Lead
Responding to voicemail messages and Glacial inquiries
Reviewing provider schedules for accuracy and rescheduling as needed

Registering patients referred to the practice

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS of the PATIENTCARECOORDINATOR
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work within an EMR database and navigate through a Windows environment required

Must be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute with 90% or greater accuracy
