JOB SUMMARY: Provide appropriate, efficient and timely pre-hospital basic life support care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with local, state, national and Acadian Ambulance standards of practice. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for the daily activities and operations inside the Operating Room when handling sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment while also maintaining a sterile field following professional standards during operating procedures. The Surgical Technologist must have knowledge of orthopaedic procedures and the ability to ensure quality patient care. The Surgical Technologist is also responsible for ensuring they are properly prepared for case assignments (i.e., sterile supplies and equipment).
