II. Major Responsibilities:
1. Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes seen in patient/s. Examples, but not limited to changes in skin condition, vital signs, and/or mental status.

7. Performs EKGs, Point of Care (POC) tests and bladder scanning. Collects, labels and prepares specimens for transport to lab. Performs other selected unit specific procedures, such as battery changes for telemetry units, checking status of unit equipment, cleaning equipment between patients and proper storage of supplies.
8. Assists RN/Licensed Independent Practitioner with treatments and procedures by preparing patient, obtaining equipment and supplies, helping to position patient, providing the patient with emotional support, and cleaning up equipment and supplies following the treatment and/or procedure.
9. Observes, measures, records oral food and fluid intake. Refills tube feeding bags as directed. Empties and records output, as approved, from a variety of sources, e.g., foley catheter, ostomy appliances and drainage systems. Performs ostomy care on established ostomate patients as directed.
10. Assists with patient admissions, transfers and discharge procedures.
11. Replenishes patient and unit supplies and equipment.
12. Answers telephone using appropriate telephone etiquette. Takes and relays messages. Utilizes intra-departmental communication systems, such as pagers, intercom, as directed.
13. Complies with center-wide policies and with nursing department and unit-based policies, procedures, and guidelines.
14. Attends staff meetings and in-service programs as required or directed. Keeps current with hospital and unit changes by reading communication boards and/or books, bulletin boards, posted notices, reads and responds to UMMHC e mails on a regular basis.
15. Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
16. Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.

Technician will collect data on programs, assist with parent training, and assist the Behavior
Analyst, Lead Behavioral Technician, and ABA Interns with clinical assessments as needed. The
Behavioral Technician will be responsible for implementing the duties of the Lead Behavioral
Technician and ABA Interns in the temporary absence of these team members. Essential
components of this position are listed below but subject to change at the discretion of Autism
Therapeutic Services LLC. This job description describes essential job functions, but does not

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Complete introduction to Autism and ABA Training
Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive
teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
Follow and record data for prescribed toilet training protocols.
Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client's individualized treatment and
behavior reduction protocols.
Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by
the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Assist Lead Behavioral Technician, Behavior Analysts, and ABA Interns with skill acquisition
and behavior reduction assessments.
Assist Lead Behavioral Technician, Behavior Analysts, and ABA Interns in preparing client
materials as instructed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
Assume Lead Behavioral Technician responsibilities in their absence.
Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals,
Lead Behavioral Technician, ABA Interns, and co-workers.
Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings.
