The Dialysis Chief Technician / PCT coordinates clinic technical and building maintenance, including water treatment systems, dialysis machines and other equipment, to ensure patients receive the safest care with the highest-quality outcomes.
Schedule: Fulltime Monday through Friday, on call as needed
Compensation: Pay range from $27.25-$35.00 per hour, depending on technical equipment and dialysis experience

What You Can Expect:
Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs per manufacturer and DCI guidelines, as well as AAMI standards
Educate direct patient care and technical staff on all equipment's proper use and maintenance, document training
Ensure technical and direct care staff follow equipment and facility policies and procedures
Confirm buliding and equipment maintenance is up to date and in good working order
Schedule and oversee outside maintenance vendors as needed
Maintain proper inventory following DCI guidelines
Perform air quality testing according to clinic policy
Stay updated on OSHA and other standards to provide a safe workplace
Coordinate and document routine technical staff meetings
Participate in on-call duties and be available during emergencies as required
Attend and present in monthly Quality Assessment Performance Improvement meetings

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including vital signs, treatment progress, and any complications.
Ensure sterile techniques and infection control procedures are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities
Client Monitoring & Support
Attend to the day-to-day operations of the Housing Department.
Supervise all client activities and ensure adherence to the daily schedule.
Make routine rounds and document appropriately.
Provide immediate support for client concerns and ensure their immediate needs are addressed.
Redirect clients respectfully when necessary to maintain order and safety.
Observe and conduct Urine Drug Screens.
Observe self-administration of client medications and document in Medication Observation Records (MORs).
Communication & Documentation
Communicate all client concerns clearly and document as required.
Report all adverse client behaviors and emergent situations in a calm and organized manner.
Document all unsafe conditions and communicate necessary repairs to the Lead BHT.
Maintain accurate shift reports and other required documentation.
Facility Maintenance & Safety
Ensure the physical residence is maintained per State of New Jersey Department of Health standards.
Uphold company operational systems including cleanliness of residential and clinical buildings.
Identify and report any unsafe conditions or needed repairs promptly.
Team Collaboration & Training
Work cohesively with all departments to ensure client safety and care.
Assist in training new BHT staff.
Communicate department needs to the Administrator.
Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
Facilitate client groups under the supervision of the Administrator and Director of Substance Abuse Counseling Services.
Qualifications / Required Experience
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a behavioral health, addiction recovery, or residential care setting preferred.
Ability to remain awake and alert during all working hours.
Knowledge of or willingness to be trained in observing UDS and medication self-administration procedures.
CPR certification required (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
Knowledge of Joint Commission requirements preferred.

Maintains and cleans equipment checking that equipment is working properly; reports problems to supervisor.

Inspects the phlebotomy cart for expiration, and adequate supply and also fills in the daily inspection checklist before using the cart at the beginning or whenever the cart is used the first time in that shift.
Assures proper patient identification by checking the patient's ID wristband with the requisition slips. Follow correct patient identification through out the processing.
Draws the blood from patients and brings the blood specimens to the appropriate laboratory section.
Properly labels all the blood specimens collected in the presence of the patient writes the test requested in a logbook, and files the paperwork as required.
Records phlebotomy requisitions on appropriate log sheets (STAT, OP, etc.). Assures complete patient identification on the requisitions including the diagnosis.
Assist laboratory techs in receiving dropped off specimen in Paragon.
Centrifuge specimen appropriately according to the instructions.
Maintains the outpatient phlebotomy room in a sanitary condition, free of floor clutter and fully stocked of phlebotomy supplies.
Maintains the phlebotomy supply room in a sanitary condition and free of floor clutter. Stock the shelves in a manner that older supplies get used first.
Responsible for the safety of the pager and handheld equipment assigned to each phlebotomist even when not in use by storing in assigned lockers and not in the phlebotomy cart.
Labels the sharp collectors, prepares them for discard when ¾ full and brings them down to the Central Service department for disposal.
Collects the medical waste from the various laboratory sections; labels, weighs and logs them as required.
Stores the phlebotomy cart according to the numerical arrangement in the assigned storage room at the end of the shift.
Answer phone calls received in the laboratory.
Receive all drop-off specimens in timely manner
Place specimen tubes in the centrifuge while processing in Paragon.
Deliver STAT specimens to the processing area alerting Med tech.

The Certified Medication Aide / Med Tech will:
Administer and record the administration of medications for residents as prescribed by the physician in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations.
Observe, document, and effectively communicate changes in resident status to nurses and/or administration that could be related to medication interactions, adverse drug reactions or medication side effects.
Monitor medications to ensure adequate accountability measures are taken when medications are ordered, received into the facility, administered and at change of shift as required by policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations.
Store medications in a safe and accurate manner in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations.
Routinely inspect, clean and monitor equipment and supplies to ensure resident safety. Report any equipment or supply issues to the Licensed Nurse for correction or repair.
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, grooming, and eating according to their individual service plan. Assist with transportation to dining room for meal service and/or to Program Services programs within the community. Assist with personal and household chores such as tidying up room, errands, delivers mail and newspaper.
May provide transportation to medical appointments outside of the community, with pre-approved authorization.
Answer resident call signals promptly. Offer comfort and support, emotionally and physically.
Respond to emergency calls, resident/visitor's requests and correct environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate and safe manner.
Observe community policies and procedures regarding resident and team member safety, attendance, timeliness, house rules, teamwork, and resident service.
Maintain professionalism and resident confidentiality at all times.
Adhere to all Infection Prevention, OSHA, fire and safety regulations at all times, to ensure the safety and well-being of all community residents.
Perform all other duties as requested.
Education Requirements:
CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide certification is required.
Registered Medication Partner (RMP) certificate preferred.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Fulfill and maintain continuing education credits as required by state.
Must be willing to obtain and/or maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Role is also eligible for team based bonus opportunities. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.
