About the Role: The Behavioral Health Technician plays a critical role in supporting individuals with mental health and emotional challenges by providing direct care and assistance under the supervision of clinical staff. This position focuses on, conducting clinical assessments, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in various care settings. The technician will actively participate in crisis intervention and management, helping to de-escalate situations and provide immediate support to patients experiencing emotional distress. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate clinical documentation and assisting with discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Ultimately, the Behavioral Health Technician contributes to improving patient outcomes by fostering a therapeutic environment and supporting the multidisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive behavioral health services. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a related field preferred. Certification or training in behavioral health, mental health, or related area is required. Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders, including crisis intervention and patient care. Ability to maintain clinical documentation accurately and comply with healthcare regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and multidisciplinary teams. Valid driver's license and good driving record required. Responsible for the adherence to all applicable policies and procedures. Demonstrates the ability to assist patients in overcoming their denial and resistance to treatment and completion of treatment goals. Demonstrated the ability to manage communities, redirect behavior, and document shift reports. Attend staff training and programs as directed. Assist nurses as directed by supervisor. Drive patients to and from appointments, to include patient outings, as directed. Drive to purchase patient sundries and miscellaneous items; including nicotine products as directed. Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, must not appear impaired or disoriented, but rather must present coherent and articulate speech, kept appearance, alert, oriented, and responsive to patients' needs and concerns. Essential Functions Assist site lead on daily operations at Kwajalein Telemetry Center. Perform pre mission setup and testing based on RCC Irig standards. Conduct the mission countdowns and all pre mission nominals. Make sound of decisions of anomalies based on mission requirements. Analyze site sensor performance and create post mission products. Coordinate and work with mission customers for requirements. Maintain documentation with assistance of site lead on regularly scheduled maintenance. Site property custodian, security custodian and comsec custodian. Following all appropriate procedures. Conduct facility and safety inspections. Support, configure, test and document all aspects of the new Telemetry Modernization Program. Work at other TM sites to include, Roi, Gagan, Illeginni, Kwaj and Worthy. Support other site personnel on any type of mission setup or maintenance activities required to include antenna pedestal, control systems, setting up and testing of Post Impact Telemetry systems on Illeginni, understanding and troubleshooting of RF to fiber conversion hardware. Assist in conducting and understanding mission requirements and configuration need to accomplish the requirements under the direction of site lead. Required Skills Knowledge of the data flow inputs from other sites or other program sensors. Knowledge of IRIG standards and testing procedures. Knowledge of new RF TM modulation schemes, error correction and the new capabilities of new TM receivers. Knowledge of situational awareness displays and how to configure new system for missions. Knowledge of RF/Fiber links. Strong organizational skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite. Good oral and written communication skills. Required Experience Associate degree in electronics, or a two-year technical school, or equivalent military experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five (5) or more years' of electronic related experience Experience using of test equipment to include Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Bit Error Rate Tester, Signal Generators. Experience in all aspects of Telemetry, antennas, receivers, recorders and other ground station equipment. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport. Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. Able to lift up to 50 lbs of electronic equipment, work on antenna pedestals. The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements. This position is unaccompanied and living on Kwajalein. Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
