Duties Help * Receive visitors and telephone calls to facility. * Obtain, review, and update patient medical records prior to appointment. * Prepare correspondence and summaries of medical records to a variety of requests. * Perform a variety of specialized tasks involving medical readiness and physical exam activities. * Utilize medical software to schedule appointments. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting a variety of basic health assessments such as performing medical tests and screenings such as audiometric, vision, pulmonary, and electrocardiograms; maintaining accurate health records, scheduling appointments and updating information in medical databases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Medical Assisting, Health Information Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Respiratory Therapy.
