This position is located at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands.
Position is responsible for providing expert perioperative patientcare through the use of equipment and instrumentation. Position functions as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures. Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory; uses knowledge/expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides comprehensive mental health screenings, patientcare management and facilitates basic psycho-educational groups. Position Summary
The Mental Health Technician (MHT), also known as a PatientCare Assistant (PCA), provides direct patientcare, behavioral support, and supervision for individuals with medical and psychiatric conditions. MHTs play a vital role in creating a safe, therapeutic environment, supporting treatment goals, and helping patients develop skills that foster recovery and stability.
Key Responsibilities
Provide care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, dignity, and therapeutic engagement.
Supervise and monitor patients to ensure structure, consistency, and safety within the unit.
Observe, document, and report changes in patient behavior, emotional state, or physical condition.
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
Support daily schedules, group activities, and structured treatment programs.
Implement and reinforce Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
Manage and de-escalate crisis situations using approved de-escalation techniques to ensure safety.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
Participate in community meetings, goal-setting sessions, and therapeutic groups.
Maintain documentation, confidentiality, and adherence to safety and infection control standards.
Serve as a positive role model for behavior, communication, and emotional regulation.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
AA/BA/BS in Psychology, Education, Behavioral Health, or related field (preferred)
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a psychiatric, neurobehavioral, or medical hospital setting (preferred)
Experience supporting patients with behavioral health or dual diagnoses strongly preferred
Licensure / Certification:
BLS/CPR certification required upon hire
Completion of de-escalation training (required or obtained within 30 days of hire)
Current TB test within 14 days of hire and annually thereafter

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Mental Health Technician (MHT) is responsible for observing and recording patient information pertinent to the treatment plan, welcoming new patients through specific admission protocols; assisting with the patient discharge process; maintaining direct patient observation; lead patient education, community, goal, and activity groups; assist nursing staff by taking vital signs and help patients perform ADL's. Due to the high visibility and significant patient interaction, this position is frequently the first responder to a variety of patient situations i.e. codes, behavioral outburst, attempts to introduce contraband and medical issue. The MHT adjusts therapeutic approach to acuity, age, gender and cultural considerations. Does not assume independent responsibility for patientcare. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of Voyages Behavioral Health.
Qualifications
Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides preferred. Current BLS certification is required. Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.
Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.

This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The person in this position will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide services outlined below:
International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is looking for an individual who is an experienced Health Technician that supports patientcare in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) section of Radiology. The Health Technician is responsible for a wide variety of duties that requires the ability to interact with patients, physicians, nurses, Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists, Imaging Technologists, Radiology Residents and Fellowship Physicians, as well as multiple ancillary hospital personnel and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Required to set up radiographic suites and assure that sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, and other required equipment and supplies are present and available.
Receive patients, explain method of procedure(s), position patients, select and set technical factors, set up and adjust accessory equipment, and make and develop exposures.
Prepare and administer contrast material orally, by enema, or intravenously under close supervision of a radiologist(s), but not independently.
Contract personnel will also perform related clerical duties such as sending images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), archiving images, post processing images, and case editing of computer requests and reports.
Maintain records and enter patient information using the Radiology VistA Package, and the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS).
Function effectively as a vital member of the Imaging Service team when cooperative efforts are needed to complete patient procedures and provide a high level of patient satisfaction and safety for patients and team members.
Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Basic Requirements/Certifications:
