Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician
Reports to: Behavioral Health Program Director or Nurse Manager /Charge Nurse
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for conducting functional analyses of patient behavior, participating as a member of the treatment team, contributing to the Master Treatment Plan and implementing appropriate interventions from the plan. The Behavioral Health Technician conducts individual and group psychoeducation, leisure activities and life- skill training and coaching for all patients. The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for safety monitoring of patients and of the unit.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licenses/Certification: BLS, preferred
Required Experience: 1 year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting.
Essential Functions:
Assumes personal responsibility for maintaining professional development such as BLS and CPI.
Observes and monitors patient's status according to patient monitoring standards, policies and procedures. This may include completion of vital signs, weight log, intake and output, dietary intake, Q15 minute behavioral rounds sheets, admission checklists or other progress or milieu notes. Reports patient complaints or other concerns in a timely manner.
Provides verbal and written input to nursing staff via ongoing reporting and end of shift report so patient's needs and care can be prioritized.
Demonstrates proficiency and skill in providing care to patients; orienting to unit, transport; de-escalation; teaching of coping skills, conflict resolution, problem solving skills; assistance with activities of daily living; admission & discharge procedures, response to codes; use of CPI techniques and Life Coaching skills.
Demonstrates effective on-going observations and evaluation of patient/family response to the interventions; reports changes in condition to the nurse assigned.
Demonstrates the ability to co-lead patient psycho-educational groups on the unit as well as provide care in a manner that is consistent with the Master Treatment Plan. Takes initiative to ensure that active treatment is occurring on the unit as scheduled and encourages all patients to participate in unit groups and programming.
Provide timely and accurate information on patient's behaviors and progress to the interdisciplinary team.
Serves in a Supervisory or Lead role, as requested.
Conduct individual Life Coaching, Psychoeducation and Supportive Counseling to assigned
patients and in accordance with Master Treatment Plan goals.
Dedicated to Hope, Healing and Recovery
Provide leadership and/or co-leadership of group therapy sessions related to: leisure skills, life skills and psychoeducation.
Lead and/or actively participate in the management of acute behavioral episodes using
approved de-escalation techniques, such as CPI.

Actively participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities
Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan
Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
Role under RN supervision
Set up and break down the dialysis blood system for treatment
Insert and remove patient access needles
Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform the charge nurse of any concerns
Calculate the patient's weight loss to reach dry weight

The Patient Care Technician assists with the conduct of clinical trials through overseeing the care of clinical trial subjects while housed on unit. Assist with the collection of biological samples, perform venipuncture, electrocardiograms, tube labeling, sample processing, documenting in subject charts, and other related tasks in accordance with the doctor's written orders. In executing these responsibilities, the Patient Care Technician is guided by Good Clinical Practices (GCP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and company standard operating procedures and policies.
Responsibilities:
Perform regular safety and status checks on clinical trial subjects housed on unit as determined by physician orders.
Perform appropriate research protocol procedures as delegated which may include but are not limited to vital signs, blood collection and processing, ECGs, and point of care laboratory tests.
Perform basic lab procedures as delegated including but not limited to preparation of specimen tubes and labels, blood specimen collection, centrifuge operation, storing and shipping of lab specimens, accountability of specimens and notification of courier for specimen pick-ups.
Ensure that biological specimens are disposed of appropriately.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment for both fellow employees and clinical trial subjects.
Engage the clinical trial subjects in group activities or one-on-one activities while housed on unit.
Assure subjects have linens, toiletry items, and other sundries needed while the subject is housed on the unit.
Serve meals and provide snacks to clinical trial subjects while subjects are housed on unit.
Study, learn and comply with ERG site standard operating procedures, and other policies, practices and regulations where applicable.

What you'll do
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Greeting patients and guests

* Scan and index documents into the EHR; ensure that necessary documents, lab results, etc. are available in advance of patient visits.
* Participates in center and market interdisciplinary teams related to patient care plans, and outcomes.
* Aid coworkers as needed to assure smooth office operation and delivery of excellent service through teamwork.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining operational condition of Podzilla equipment at all Storage Centers within a designated territory. Responsible for making sure all preventative maintenance and documentation of work using Work Orders. Will assist with Forklift preventative maintenance, structural welding repairs or Training if qualified. Assist with ensuring a safe and clean working environment, inside and out, for assigned territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repair on our patented hydraulic lift system (Podzilla), to include small engine troubleshooting, 12V electrical diagnostics, and occasional light tack welding, metal griding and cutting, when required
Complete and maintain records on repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance using Work Order System and provide updates to management as needed
Will perform structural repairs on flatbed trucks or Podzillas if Certified
Will perform training of new Techs if certified as a PODS Train the Trainer
Will perform preventative maintenance on forklifts if qualified
May require ordering of parts from internal and external sources
Responsible for all PODS owned repair tools and diagnostic equipment
May provide training to Drivers on proper use of lift system to eliminate unnecessary repairs
Flexibility to travel between storage centers in an assigned territory
When required, repair damaged containers to PODS standards and perform light carpentry work and repair in storage centers (less than 20% of time)
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements
3-5 years engine repair experience (forklift, hydraulic systems, vehicle maintenance, small engine repair).
Experienced mechanic who has an AWS Structural Steel Welding Certificate (AWS D1.1) and/or mechanical certification(s) or diploma equivalent
Certified as a PODS Trainer for Podzilla repairs
Forklift repair experience (4+ years) or a Certified Forklift Technician (CFT) certificate.
ASE Automotive certification accepted
Experience using Fleet Maintenance Software preferred.
Possess a current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
Light/Medium carpentry skills.
Prior supervisory or team leader experience; warehouse experience preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent.

What's it like to work as an EMT?

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Paramedic will support the delivery of a comprehensive range of medical services. The EMT Paramedic will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. at DOS, and provide care to DOD, and contractor personnel stationed in Iraq. The candidate will provide advanced medical care and support during emergency situations, including assessment, treatment, and transportation of patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, the ability to work in high-pressure environments, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to emergency calls and assess patients' medical conditions.
Coordinate and supervise EMTs within scope of practice.
Performs in support of field emergency situations; Intravenous (IV) line insertions, venous blood draws, intraosseous (IO) access, intubation, medication administration, and 12-lead electrocardiogram with interpretation, and knowledge of a wide range of emergency medications.
Assist medical providers with medical procedures and treatments within the licensed scope of practice.
Assessment and documentation of the patient's vital signs, chief complaint, medical history, prescribed medications and care administered.
Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine sufficient inventory levels; anticipating needed items.
Restocking clinical and provider areas.
Crosstrain to work within in the clinics, emergency room, and inpatient units.
Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
U.S. state-licensed Paramedic, with National Registry EMTP, or current unrestricted license.

Ability to work in a high-stress environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
Certification as a Paramedic from a recognized program.
Physical Requirements:
Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
