Position Summary:
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing a safe, structured, closely supervised living environment. This position works in cooperation with the clinical team in ensuring best practices are in accordance with agency standards.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the intake process by inventorying client belongings and obtaining UA and breath samples
May assist with vital signs
Perform rounds at designated time schedules and documents observations of client behavior
Anticipate and respond to client needs

As our Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) you will provide direct care and support to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders on a multidisciplinary team within our Acute Care Services (ACS) team. You will assist with identifying appropriate ACS services and enrolling clients into the best program that meets the client's needs. Supervise clients during assigned shift and provide resources as appropriate.

Deliver new clients a comprehensive orientation to residential programming. Ensure that clients understand rules, campus layout, and guidelines for conduct.
Continually provide education and support to clients regarding program expectations, assignments, and schedules.

Accurately provide clients with appointment times, messages, and assignment support as needed.
Using AllHealth Network protocol, assist in emergencies, including procedures and drills.
Safely complete property searches and properly dispose of contraband items.

Flourish Supportive Living is looking for caring and energetic individuals to join our professional team of caregivers. Experience working with adults with brain injuries, disabilities and/or dementia is preferred. We have both full-time and part-time night shifts available with flexible schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the home during shift. This includes but is not limited to cleaning the common areas, bathrooms, kitchen, appliances, laundry and trash removal.
Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as showering, using the bathroom, getting into and out of bed, getting into and out of chairs, etc. in accordance with residents care plan and company policies and procedure.
Responsible for medication assistance and administration of medications, according to the state requirements.
Maintains a positive and professional attitude while representing Flourish Supportive Living during interactions with residents, families, physicians, outside vendors, and other employees.
COVID-19 considerations: Masks required. Staff must wear face masks at all times while on shift. Staff must also comply with COVID screening and testing.
