You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.

Position Overview

· Support & Intervention - verbally support clients as needed in times of confusion, discontent, and disappointment, helping them to understand the value of the treatment experience while maintaining appropriate boundaries. De-escalation of situations through nonviolent crisis interventions and personal commitment to their wellbeing.
· Transport clients and/or staff to and from a variety of destinations at the direction and discretion of your immediate supervisor or designee.
· Record Keeping/Documentation - daily shift reports, client behavioral incidents and any consequences given to clients or turned in to staff, maintenance needs, forms or documents used by VRC during a treatment episode.
· Perform inventory on office supplies and food, shop as needed. Making sure all supplies are kept adequately stocked and being certain to inform appropriate parties when supplies are low.

· Prepare rooms/units for new clients - When a client discharges treatment, his/her unit must be prepared for the next client, including but not limited to laundry, bedding, sanitizing all areas and cleaning refrigerator.

· Confer with physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and other professionals to help develop and implement patient's treatment.
· Collaborate with patients' families to implement plans such as behavioral, residential, social, and employment goals.
· Develop and maintain relationships with community referral sources, such as schools and community groups.
· Attend Treatment Team Meetings alongside the therapist, to provide collaborative care with the patient's team. This is where all treatment decisions get made, so you need to attend prepared to describe the patient's response to group treatment.
· You must work closely with the quality assurance when monitoring medical care in a manner that encourages self-evaluation, anticipates, and plans for change, and meets regulations.
· We need you to be on the same page as the other office managers regarding policy, procedure, and improvements, so please touch base with them regarding misunderstandings or miscommunications.
· Resolving conflicts, avoiding power struggles, ignoring negativity, emphasizing reinforcement, and even communicating with children can be challenging. That's why it takes someone like you to teach and model this for others along with writing quality incident reports. However, your job is to be teaching others to do this, not to keep doing it for them on an ongoing basis; there's a difference.
· When critical incidents occur, it is critical for you to write detailed reports including antecedents, interventions, and debriefing and to send them to your supervisor along with treating providers.
Requirements Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in human services or related field
· Experience in PHP/IOP setting is preferred
· Knowledge of the DSM and basic mental health terms will make the job more interesting and make you more successful
· Ability to remain calm, compassionate, tolerant, and courteous in the face of rudeness and disrespect, while keep appropriate boundaries with patients.
· Ability to be aware of and understand patients' reactions and your reactions to patients
· Ability to predict the future. Not really but you have to be able to identify warning signs for when something is likely to go wrong and then generate and implement solutions.

The Medication Technician is responsible for documenting, delivering and administering medicines to residents as prescribed by physician(s) with superior customer service and in accordance with all policies, procedures, government regulators and guidelines.

Responsibilities
Assist residents with their daily medications, treatments and resident care as assigned and
with the scope of practice, policy and procedures, and government regulations
Observe, verify and document that medication is ingested or applied as directed
Notify supervisor if prescribed medication is not administered according to directions and
documenting the reason(s) why
Maintain clear, accurate, complete and confidential records on resident medication and care
in accordance with established procedures and governing requirements
Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician(s) and verifying
dosages with physician prior to dispensing
Track all orders for medication changes and/or refills - prepare medications for distribution
up to 24 hours in advance
Participate in and complete narcotic counts at the beginning and end of shift, reporting any
and all discrepancies to supervisor(s) immediately
Assist caregivers in the performance of their job duties and assume caregiver activities and
responsibilities when needed.
Respond to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining each resident's self-respect,
personal dignity, personal safety and confidentiality
Read and follow care plans to ensure proper care is being given to their residents
Assist residents in their daily living activities including bathing, dressing, hygiene (including
shaving, hair care, etc.), meals, activities, bowel and bladder functions (including taking to
bathrooms, portable commodes, changing incontinence products, etc.)
Provide assistance at mealtime with selecting meals, serving, eating, and clearing trays
Transport residents as necessary assisting them into and out of bed, wheelchairs, etc. following
all safety/lifting and transferring techniques - escorting them to/from meals, activities, or
other transportation needs as requested or assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
A minimum of one year of work experience as a Caregiver or Medication Technician
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
Active First Aid/CPR/BLS Certification required
Background clearances as required by government regulations
Must meet health requirements, including TB
