(2) Perform intake interviews (including allergies and pregnancy status) and input into EHR. (3) Prepare clients for the clinician's exam and assist provider as needed with examinations, administer basic first aid and operate office medical equipment. (4) Collect routine laboratory specimens as directed by the clinician by performing basic laboratory procedures to include pregnancy test and venipuncture. (5) Input lab requests into Emdeon, manifest labs at the end of the day, package and transport lab specimens as required by local protocols. (6) Assist clients with the set up and activation of the patient portal. Prepares clinic area for clinic service (i.e., stock supplies, maintain equipment, maintain educational folders for each exam room. Keep clinic area clean and free from hazards for clients and staff. Sanitize exam rooms per "Infection Control Policies". Follow OSHA standards for Hazardous Waste. Perform monthly inspection/inventory of emergency carts, remove and replace expired supplies. PURCHASING DUTIES: Acts as lead purchaser for inventory, ordering, tracking, receiving, and maintaining medical supplies. Follows purchasing guidelines with the support of the FDOH Purchasing Department. Conducts inventory of medical supplies located in storage closet and medical sheds monthly. Tracks inventory on supply tracking spreadsheet. Rotates stock from medical sheds to medical storage closet to ensure supplies do not expire. Maintains, monitors and disposes of expired supplies.
