Educational Requirements Current, active, and unencumbered license or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience in a clinical setting. Experience teaching or training in a healthcare or academic setting preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using instructional technology and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Training and/or Experience A minimum of 1 year of relevant teaching experience at the college level or 3 years of professional experience in the healthcare field is required. Possession of a valid National Healthcareer Association certification relevant to the class you are applying for (CPCT-A) is required. For Patient Care Technician courses, an active New Jersey Registered Professional Nurse license is required.
