Oversees the day to day operation of the clients daily routine and enforces any specific direction given by the treatment team regarding individual client's progress.
Searches the client's personal items upon arrival confiscating, inventorying and securing; cellular phones, personal computers, money credit cards, any alcoholic content, medications, drug paraphernalia, or any other contraband items.
Monitors all incoming mail, packages and parcels and personally observes the contents of these items for the presence of contraband.
Maintains complete confidentiality on behalf of the clients and refrains from giving any information about any client to any outside source via, phone, text fax or personal meeting.
Monitors the behaviors of clients and reports all occurrences which differ from the standard, including personal relationships of an aggressive or physical nature.

Conducts regular property searches to prevent unauthorized materials from entering the living area and office facilities.
Oversees the safety and maintenance of the residence and office.
Notes any unsafe or hazardous conditions and reports any discrepancies to the BHT Supervisor.
Assures that any clients that are found to be under the influence of any un-prescribed drug, liquid, medication or other agent, be isolated from the community and the Program Coordinator is notified immediately.
Makes notation of any unauthorized use of telephones, computers, faxes, etc., and report the information the same day to the Program Coordinator.
Properly administers UA and Breathalyzers and assures all reports of results are properly disseminated to Program Coordinator.
When required, performs bed checks as per standard schedule, including noting and overseeing sleep patterns and reporting unusual occurrences regarding individuals' behaviors.
Refrains from introducing personal matters into the business surroundings.
Maintains proper boundaries during the client's time in the program as well as following their exit from this program.
Logs into the log book any activities and behaviors to assist incoming shifts with continuity of the daily program.

Summary of Duties of the Medication Technician
The primary responsibilities of the Medication Technician are as follows: 1) Administer or assist with the administration and/or supervision of medications to the residents in a safe, accurate, and timely manner (dependent on State regulations); 2) Provide physical and psychosocial care to all residents in a manner that promotes dignity, choice, and individuality; and 3) Responsible for overseeing the wellness staffing schedule. The Medication Technician reports to the supervisor on duty as well as the Wellness Director.
Essential Functions of the Medication Technician
Administers or assists with or supervises the administration of medications according to the physician order on the medication administration record (MAR).
Documents medications administered on the MAR in accordance with company policy; Checks MARs immediately after administration and prior to end of shift to ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
Conducts change of shift report with oncoming/outgoing shift personnel.
Maintains security of medication cart and narcotic keys during entire shift; Conducts narcotic count at the beginning and end of every shift in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Provides assistance with activities of daily living such as with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene (includes shaving, oral care, nail care, hair care, foot care), toileting, eating, and ambulation/mobility.
Works collaboratively with peers and other team members.
Maintains professional demeanor at all times when interacting with residents and families.
Reports any suspected or witnessed instances of verbal, mental, or physical abuse to licensed staff immediately.
Utilizes safe transfer techniques when assisting residents with mobility.
Observes and reports changes in residents' physical condition and cognitive/emotional status to Wellness Director or charge nurse, as needed.
Assists residents with swallowing difficulty with eating.
Responds to emergencies in a prompt and calm manner; Immediately reports such emergencies to the charge nurse and/or Wellness Director.
Understands and uses Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Standard Precautions, OSHA's Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens standard, and follows established infection control procedures, hazardous communication, and other safety rules.
Ensures cleanliness of residents' rooms and promptly reports all violations of safety and sanitation rules to supervisor.
Documents provision of services on company forms.
Operates designated medical equipment, copy, scan, fax machines, and telephone.
Responsible for planning the wellness schedule preferably 1 month in advance but no less than 2 weeks.
Participates in an on-call rotation for staffing needs; Will be responsible for finding coverage for open shifts.
Must be available by phone 24/7 while on-call for staffing needs and able to fill open shift if needed.
Non-Essential Functions of the Medication Technician
Provides all necessary care and services to assigned residents and assists other wellness associates as needed.
Participates in and supports the resident-centered activities program.
Cares for sensory enhancement devices such as eyeglasses and hearing aids.
Completes housekeeping tasks such as bed-making, linen changes, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning bathrooms.
Washes resident's laundry as needed.
Escorts residents and coordinates internal transportation needs.
Assists residents with personal correspondence/telephone use when requested.
Conducts room checks and resident rounds.
Monitors for environmental safety hazards.
Assists in a variety of tasks related to dining (escort residents to dining room, assist with set-up and clean tables, serve meals, bus tables, etc.).
Attends and participates in staff meetings and mandatory in-services.
Uses tactful, diplomatic communication techniques in potentially sensitive or emotionally charged situations.
Follows-up with appropriate staff, residents, or other individuals regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns.
Acts as an ambassador and public relations representative to guests and other visitors.
Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values and wisdom of the residents, and an understanding of the aging process.
Collaborates with associates in other departments to assure necessary care and services are provided.
Participates in projects or committees as assigned.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience
Must maintain certification in the state where you work if required.
Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing in relation to medication aides as well as the company medication aide skills competency checklist.
Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases; Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required; Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.
Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Report all medical or psychiatric changes to the RN and assist with admissions, including belongings inventory and vital signs.
Document patient property at admission and discharge and conduct unit safety checks each shift to ensure a clean, therapeutic environment.
Encourage or assist patients with activities of daily living and facilitate or co‑facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups using established guidelines.
Apply crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques as needed and maintain knowledge of program protocols.
Orient new staff members to the unit, document in the medical record according to policy, provide feedback to the interdisciplinary team, comply with OSHA and CDC specimen guidelines, and perform other duties as assigned.

Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) is looking to add a clinic technician to their surgery and triage team. This position provides advanced medical care and management of animals at PACC, overseeing daily care routines, and administering medications as directed by veterinarians. Our technicians assist with medical treatments, ensuring compliance with animal welfare standards in a high-volume care setting.
This position requires working mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and some holidays. Shift rotation is required.
Essential Functions:
As defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, this classification may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D.) certificate AND six months of experience in a veterinary clinic or position involving handling animals OR completion of a vet technician/vet assistant certification.

OR:
One year of experience working with Pima County as an Animal CareTechnician I, Animal Care Response Technician or closely related position as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment.
