Working Conditions
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
On-going interaction with clients, personnel and the general public. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment.

Under the direct supervision of a licensed Nurse, the Monitor Technician is responsible for performing and organizing the clerical activities necessary to maintain the medical record and coordinating on-going activities within the assigned unit. Continuously monitors the ECG patterns of all patients including those remotely monitored. Facilitates the documentation of ECG strips. In conjunction with the Registered Nurse, evaluates ECG rhythms via cardiac intervals and alerts the Registered Nurse to changes of life-threatening alterations in the patient's ECG patterns, taking into consideration the age of the patient in question, i.e. adult and geriatric.
Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours. PATIENT POPULATION: The patient population served can be all patients, including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and newborn. This also includes services which affect facility staff, physicians, visitors, vendors and the general public.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the Monitor Technician is responsible for performing and organizing the clerical activities necessary to maintain the medical record and coordinating on-going activities within the assigned unit. Continuously monitors the ECG patterns of all patients including those remotely monitored. Facilitates the documentation of ECG strips. Evaluates ECG rhythms via cardiac intervals and alerts the Registered Nurse to changes of life-threatening alterations in the patient's ECG patterns, taking into consideration of the age of the patient in question, i.e. adult and geriatric.
Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours. As a designated disaster service worker you are required to assist in times of need pursuant to the California Emergency Services Act.

Medication Technician / Caregiver
Pay Rate: $21.15 per hour Schedule: Full-time or part-time; includes weekends and holidays as scheduled
Purpose
The Medication Technician / Caregiver is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely medication administration in accordance with residents' physician orders and community policies. This role also provides personal care, supports residents' daily living needs, and promotes a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all residents.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMedication Administration
Administer medications safely, accurately, and on schedule per physician orders and community policies.
Maintain accurate medication records, ensuring timely refills and proper storage.
Conduct monthly medication audits (label, expiration, and start date checks).
Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding medication concerns or order discrepancies.
Update Medication Administration Records (MARs) and assist with documentation as needed.
Collaborate with pharmacies and physicians to ensure accurate and timely medication management.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant medication room.
Resident Care
Review and follow individual resident service plans.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and ambulation.
Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental condition.
Document resident information accurately and communicate updates to the Resident Care Team.
Assist residents during meals, activities, and social programs, encouraging engagement and independence.
Provide compassionate postmortem care when applicable.
Housekeeping
Maintain resident rooms in a clean, safe, and comfortable condition.
Make beds, change linens, and assist with laundry as needed.
Ensure residents' personal items and clothing are organized and tidy.
Clean spills or soiled areas promptly and assist with general housekeeping duties as required.
Other Responsibilities
Attend required meetings, training sessions, and in-services.
Uphold residents' rights and confidentiality at all times.
Answer phones and assist with community operations as needed.
Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred, or equivalent experience in senior care or long-term care.
Current CNA or Medication Technician certification (or ability to obtain per state regulations).
CPR/First Aid certification (required).
Current Food Handler's certification (required).
Ability to measure vital signs (BP, pulse, respiration, temperature, O₂ saturation).
Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, and electronic charting systems).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Must meet state health, background, and drug screening requirements.
Must enjoy working with seniors and demonstrate compassion, patience, and reliability.
Work Environment
Assisted living community setting.
Requires regular standing, walking, lifting, and assisting residents.
May require flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
