Essential Functions: • Performs the hemodialysis treatment according to Client and the local center’s policies and procedures o Responsible for ensuring all safety checks are completed prior to initiation of treatment o Prepares dialyzer according to procedure during prime and set up; removes dialyzer at end of treatment per physician orders o Administers medications such as normal saline, heparin, and lidocaine per physician orders under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, and per State and Federal scope of practice guidelines. o Evaluates access prior to cannulation, cannulates dialysis accesses, initiates treatments, monitors patient and machine, terminates treatment per policy and procedures o Administers oxygen as necessary by cannula or mask under direction and supervision of Registered Nurse or physician orders, per scope of practice o Obtains blood samples water and environmental samples as ordered and performs routine tests • Takes initiative and action to report, respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all patients in a timely manner • Responsible for driving the Client Healthcare culture through values and customer service standards • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers • Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication • Adheres to all infection control procedures and understands the consequences associated with failing to follow those procedures: o Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) o Follows all clean\/dirty procedures in order to eliminate cross\-contamination o Performs cannulation using aseptic technique for needle insertion and all other required procedures Requirements o Disinfects machines, station area, and chairs after each patient treatment and treatment rooms between patient visits o Maintains a neat and clean environment • Performs thorough patient data collection and documentation of patient information prior to, during, and post dialysis, per scope of practice; provides detailed and thorough documentation on treatment sheets and medical records, both manual and electronic • Liaisons with the Interdisciplinary Health Care Team on shared responsibilities • Communicates significant patient information to the appropriate team members in a clear, concise, and accurate manner • Reinforces education given to patients and their caregivers to increase understanding of the disease and its treatment • Reinforces self\-cannulation education under the supervision of a qualified RN • Responds to emergencies and alarms appropriately • Participates in CPR as needed and as directed • Participates in initial\/annual clinical and technical competencies evaluations as appropriate Ability to read, write, speak, understand and satisfactorily communicate in English \- Required BONENT (CHT)\/NNCC (CCHT)\/NNCO (CCNT) certification (per state regulations) \- Highly desired California Department of Public Health CHT certification (CA ONLY) \- Required Current CPR certification \- Required Demonstrate an understanding of basic renal function and consequences of renal failure \- Required Demonstrate basic knowledge of the treatment modalities available to end stage Renal Disease \- Required One year of active hemodialysis patient care experience as a certified hemodialysis technician \- Required: 1 Years​ "}}],"is Mobile":false,"iframe":"true","job Type":"Full time","apply Name":"Apply Now","zsoid":"713992624","FontFamily":"Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif","job OtherDetails":[{"field Label":"State\/Province","uitype":1,"value":"CA"},{"field Label":"City","uitype":1,"value":"San Jose"},{"field Label":"Industry","uitype":2,"value":"Health Care"}],"header Name":"Travel CCHT FLOAT","widget Id":"5**********0072311","is JobBoard":"false","user Id":"5**********0300003","attach Arr":[],"custom Template":"5","is CandidateLoginEnabled":true,"job Id":"5**********2630031","FontSize":"15","location":"San Jose","embedsource":"CareerSite","indeed CallBackUrl":"https:\/\/recruit.zoho.com\/recruit\/JBApplyAuth.do","logo Id":"ky9d70f0955df055e4e2ea806fd499d124f04"}

Position Summary: The Resident Care Associate (RCA) provides personal care, companion care, nursing assistance and other assigned tasks to residents living in Eskaton communities. The Resident Care Associate duties include direct resident care, assisting in daily living activities, grocery or personal shopping, errands and other domestic tasks as well as documentation of care provided. Duties and assignments may be adjusted at the discretion of the Resident Care Coordinator, Memory Care Coordinator, or Wellness Nurse based on an evaluation of resident needs. The starting salary for this position is $23.75. This position will be scheduled for AM and PM shifts on Sunday and Monday. $2.00 shift deferential available for weekend shifts. Qualifications Education: High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred. Proficient ability to communicate orally and in writing in the English language. Training and Experience: Six (6) months experience in providing personal care in a residential or long-term care setting preferred. Valid/current first aid certification. Job Knowledge: Knowledge in performing personal care services in a residential environment. Ability to meet new and/or stressful situations with the appropriate responses. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team, to share information freely, to use and seek supervision and consultation verbally and in writing, and be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
