JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Successful completion of the Electrocardiogram (ECG) course within three months of hire or a score of 85% or greater on the ECG challenge exam.
Preferred/Optional: Completion of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or First Responder courses.

UNIT DETAILS (Neuro-Neenah Hospital):
The Neuro unit is a 16-19 bed inpatient and intermediate care unit that focuses on strokes, brain surgery, spine and is a stepdown to the ICU. Our Neenah hospital is a level II trauma center with a higher acuity patient population. This unit is fast pace to meet the demands and needs of our patients. Our team is dedicated to the highest quality of care and fosters great learning opportunities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Performs delegated patientcare activities using evidence-based practice and specific competencies for the patient population served.
* Checks patients' vital signs, height, and weight, as needed, based on patient type.
* Provides compassionate care and listens to patients' concerns and guides them by answering any questions or concerns.
* Identifies and escalates changes in patient status or patient risks to prevent crisis.
* Collects clinical data and information on patients and reports to care team.
* Repositions, transfers, ambulates and transports patients.
* Assists patients with basic needs (such as hygiene, eating, using the restroom, and dressing).

Position Overview
