Job Summary
The Data Science team at PatientPoint works on business problems across the enterprise, such as provider growth, pricing, operations, marketing, campaign measurement, and customer attrition. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work on these problems by creating data products that synthesize available data into useful predictions, enable manual processes to be automated, and provide digestible information for human-in-the-loop decisions.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll work with a cross-functional team to spearhead algorithmic pricing across the business.
You'll be a core member of the team responsible for upgrading the ad tech stack PatientPoint relies on to deliver impactful point of care content.
To be successful, you'll need to develop a deep understanding of the goals and constraints of campaigns and leverage machine learning and optimization methods to consistently deliver impactful results for clients.
As an experienced subject matter expert in this space, you'll also mentor and coach less experienced data science team members as they continue to develop their skills.
What We Need
6+ years of related data science experience developing data products, deploying models to production, and delivering analyses to internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates will be asked to provide examples from their previous experience and/or complete a project using analytics to create actionable insights.
Bachelors degree in Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Information Systems or a related field.
Fluency in Python and SQL, with end-to-end data stack experience including manipulation, analysis, visualization, model deployment, and pipeline orchestration.
Advanced knowledge and competency of machine learning and data science methods including predictive modeling, model validation and selection, network analysis, price elasticity estimation, optimization under constraints, etc.
Experience promoting models through the lifecycle and monitoring model performance.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude for working with stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
Masters or doctoral degree in Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Information Systems or a related field .

Assists the Surgical Services Manager with overall supervision and daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department. Evaluates workflow and makes staffing assignments. Assists the Manager in meeting productivity and labor expense targets. Oversees the training and competency of Sterile Processing Technicians. Recognizes and identifies the existence of problems or improvement opportunities and takes action to troubleshoot issues. Coordinates Quality Assurance programs and provides in-service and education opportunities for the department.

* Maintains open and active communication with the medical staff, patient care staff and interdepartmental staff.
* Coordinates daily work assignments, monitoring all processing areas. Maintains employee schedule ensuring adequate coverage for hours of operation and call coverage on weekends and Holidays.
* Assists SPD Manager in evaluations of Sterile Processing staff.
* Acts as liaison and facilitates communication between sterile processing and operating room personnel/nursing units.
* Facilitates the processing of instrumentation and equipment, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. Assist with collecting data for Quality Assurance.
* Reviews operating room schedules, anticipating needs and/or conflicts with instrumentation, coordinating instrumentation for all procedures with operating room personnel.
* Responsible for the daily review of all recording tapes and biological / chemical tests from all sterilizers and records results. Implements hospital policy and procedure for positive biological tests.
* Monitors staff compliance with all required safety precautions.
* Assumes responsibility of department in absence of Manager SPD
* Coaches' staff and rounds with staff consistently.
* Conducts staff meetings/huddles and provides educational opportunities for staff.
* Ensures SPD policies and procedures are kept updated.
* Ensures the competency of all SPD staff and other staff who may be involved in high level disinfection and/or sterilization in other areas. Maintains departmental education records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
* Oversees quality and infection control initiatives for SPD.
* Provides a comprehensive and technical orientation, education and training program for the sterile processing staff.
* Assists Manager with managing labor and supply components of the budget.
* Assists Manager in organization functions of the department.
* Assists Manager in conducting annual performance evaluations of SPD staff.
* Assist the Manager with evaluation of the department's service delivery. Recommends and implements process improvements.
* Responsible for all daily operations in the absence of the SPD Manager.
* Develops educational calendar for all in-service training. Provides education and training to SPD staff.
* Demonstrated leadership in directing and maintaining productive and positive behavior among staff.

* Must have a good working knowledge of Instruments, the operation/workings of the OR and be able to readily understand their issues and requests. Be able to speak the language of the OR.

*Minimum Qualifications:*
* Education: Certification as a surgical technologist or sterile processing technician gained through an accredited certification program such as the CBSPD sterilization certification or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician),

* Experience: Three (3) years of progressive work experience in a Sterile Processing or Operating Room setting along with a working knowledge of AAMI standards.

Job Summary:
The Manager Pharmacy shall plan, organize, and supervise all pharmaceutical and financial activities occurring in his/her respective pharmacy, Such proceedings shall comply with the policies and procedures established by the WellStar Health System, federal, state and local laws governing the practice of pharmacy, and the rules and standards established by the regulatory agencies (JACHO, Medicare, etc.) involved in provision of health care. The Manager Pharmacy reports to the Director of Pharmacy.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
General Pharmacy Management
* Responsible for the day to day pharmacy operations for the pharmacy he/she supervises (reports to the Director of Pharmacy)
* Trains/instructs (or delegates responsibility thereof) pharmacy personnel on their required duties upon hire or modification of programs and systems
* Supervises pharmacy personnel in the performance of their duties
* Provides distributive and clinical services during pharmacists vacations, illnesses, LOAs, etc, as well as, during short staffed periods resulting from resignations and/or volume increases
* Counsels or takes disciplinary action as necessary when pharmacy personnel violate established policies, procedures, rules, regulation or accepted standards
* Interviews/hires personnel as required
Assists Pharmacy Director
* Assists the Director of Pharmacy in writing and implementing department and system policies and procedures pertaining to drug distribution, use and control
* Maintains the pharmacy in a state of readiness for federal, state and local regulatory agency inspections (e.g. JACHO, drug inspectors, etc)
* Establishes work schedules to provide sufficient personnel to meet the needs of the facility (as approved by WellStars senior management and board through the budgetary process).
* Adheres to and enforces the rules and regulations established by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy
* Maintains active licensure and certifications for the department and personnel if applicable
* Ensures that the distribution and administration of controlled substances DEA, CII Cv are properly monitored and documented. Investigates and reports substitutive variations to appropriate personnel
* Assists the director of pharmacy in preparing the annual operating budget and capital budgets
Pharmacy Services
* Performs annual review and submit for merit increased for pharmacy personnel (direct reports)
* Reviews monthly financial reports, contacts Accounting department (analyst) to notify of discrepancies and provides information to the Director of Pharmacy concerning significant variances.
* Monitors revenues and expenses to identify deficiencies or excesses
* Arranges for and supervises the pharmacys annual inventory
* Participates in or delegates responsibility for chart audits requested by management, internal audit, third party payers, etc.
* Supervises the drug purchasing program with emphasis on the use of AGPO and IDN contracts (investigates purchasing options to reduce overall pharmacy system expense)
* Conducts and documents monthly staff meetings
* Serves on hospital specific committees, e.g. Nurse/Pharmacy Committee, etc.
* Serves on Pharmacy based system committees as requested by the Director of Pharmacy provides or arranges for in-service education for pharmacy personnel, nursing and ancillary services as needed
* Ensures that the pharmacy department is properly maintained (appropriately cleaned by housekeeping, controlled by security and equipment properly functioning through maintenance or bio engineering)
* Communicates issues and concerns, both internal and external, to the Director of Pharmacy
* Maintains open communications to the Site Administrator, Nursing Director and Ancillary Department Managers
* Assumes other responsibilities as required to maintain high quality pharmacy services
*Responsibilities include oversight of multiple infusion pharmacies within Georgia, and a large team of over 60 members comprised of clinical pharmacists, staff clinical pharmacists, inventory specialists, pharmacy technicians and student interns.
*Experience with sterile compounded products required, including rules and regulations and USP 797 required.
*Ideal candidates have two or more years of experience in supervisory roles, and work in a setting with hazardous drugs, utilizing guidance from USP 800.
*Performs other duties as assigned
*Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Practices using current clinical practice standards. Teamwork and Collaboration Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model. This includes, but is not limited to diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods (interdisciplinary rounds, case review, etc.); completion of timely documentation and promotion of a respectful, inclusive clinical environment Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a manner that is fiscally responsible and promotes the recruitment and retention of all healthcare team members. Participates and supports performance improvement inclusive of all stakeholders, research and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care including initiating and/or leading such activities as well as, promoting an inter/intra-disciplinary process and actively supports/participates in shared governance at all levels in the system. Professional Development and Initiative Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment, required mandatory education, population specific education. Serves as a preceptor and/or or mentor for other professional nurses (and staff or students for all disciplines) to ensure that there is a current and future qualified workforce; modeling the professional practice of nursing and creating a healthy work environment. Evidence Based Practice and Research Promotes evidence-based practice, nursing research and performance improvement in nursing. Participates in activities such as value analysis as part of the decision-making process in evaluating patient care products. Upholds all health care system/organizational policies and procedures and clinical competencies put forth by this job description and professional association including legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements and standards ensuring by way of example, such goals as TJC Patient Safety Goals and Wellstar Health Systems safety absolutes Participates in data collection, poses relevant clinical questions to advanced evidence-based practice. Consults appropriate experts and uses appropriate resources and evidence to address practice questions. Resources and Support Proactively plans for the care of patients across the care continuum in the course of giving direct patient care. Participates in the development of protocols and procedures when called upon or through self-initiation in collaboration with care managers and other members of the health care team to achieve best practice outcomes (i.e., decrease in re-admission rates; avoidable days; adverse events; etc.). Supports efficient and effective use of human and material resources Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Additional License(s) and Certification(s): Required Minimum Experience: Less than 1 year or less of RN experience.
