Maintain accurate records of time worked, track conditions encountered and corrective action taken Other duties as assigned Qualifications, Skills or Certifications Required: Prior work experience involving manual labor or mechanical work preferred Must possess valid driver's license; CDL preferred Must be able to perform duties that require heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and 80 pounds on occasion Knowledge of and skills in using hand tools, including wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, measuring tapes, etc. and skills in using power tools and hydraulic equipment, including portable grinders, rail saws, spike pullers, track wrench machines, power drills Prefer experience reading and comprehending safety manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, test materials, drawings, schematics, and procedure manuals Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position Position requires flexible work schedule and the need to work overtime on occasion Employment Conditions: Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries. Wear protective equipment including hearing protection, safety steel-toe boots, or safety glasses. Must pass all required assessments. Must pass a background screening. Physical Requirements: Medium to heavy work, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 80 pounds. Stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/crawl/balance/climb. Work in cramped, confined, enclosed, or awkward places. Walk long distances over uneven terrain. Environmental Conditions: Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions. This facility is located in the Mint Farm Industrial Park of Longview, WA about 40 miles north of Portland, Oregon. The individual will be fulfilling the role in Operations or Maintenance as determined by the needs of the plant. This job is considered "safety sensitive" as defined in RCW 49.44.240 and is subject to pre-employment drug screening that includes screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites. Job Responsibilities * Construct, install, inspect, operate and maintain generation plant electrical and mechanical equipment, especially as it applies to combustion turbines, internal combustion engines, steam and/or combined cycle generation facilities. * Drive and operate equipment. Perform similar and incidental duties as required. * This position responds to plant emergencies and contains some irregular work schedules and overtime hours. * Required to qualify and progress from Outside Operator to Control Room Operator Minimum Qualifications * Candidate must have completed a recognized combustion turbine apprenticeship program or its equivalent and be proficient in using the tools and equipment of the trade as related to combustion turbine work. * Must have ability to communicate effectively with others. * Must possess a valid driver's license. * This position requires the employee to obtain and maintain a First Aid, CPR and AED Certificate, and lift truck certification. * Employees must have a working knowledge and comply with all Company standards, policies, practices, procedures and State and Federal regulations as they pertain to the job.     Job Description Job Title: Range Sustainment Worker II Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities: Performs grounds maintenance to include cutting of grass and maintenance of berms, firing points, and other range associated grounds. Operates work related vehicles and equipment including but not limited to gasoline or diesel-powered tractors, mowers, tow trailers, load materials, or equipment. Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery. Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to operate agricultural tractors and associated attachments including but not limited to front end bucket loader, 20' batwing mower deck and bush hog cutter. Must be able to walk long distances to clear vegetation for land navigation points. Preferred prior experience performing Range Sustainment Work I. Must have prior experience operating mowers (regular and zero turn) under 2000 pounds and weed eaters. Position will require the use and operation of a variety of equipment and hand tools. Must be able to obtain contractor pass for the installation. Must possess a current valid state issued driver's license. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Prolonged sitting walking, bending, kneeling. Work Environment: Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions. Hours of Operation & Location: The normal work hours during the week are 1100-730pm, however work hours can change due to government requirements.
