**Security Officer - Patrol Business Complex**

**Location: Soquel, CA.**

**Schedule: Full Time, Graveyard/Overnight Shifts, W-TH-F-Sat-Sun**

**Pay Rate: $19.01 / hr**

As a Security Patrol Driver, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Starting Compensation: $16.00 hr. - $16.50 hr.

Available Shift(s):

Multiple full time and part time positions available ranging from days, nights, and overnights (must be available to work during the week and weekends).

About the job:

* Excellent customer service is always your top priority.
* You observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
* You provide rapid response in critical situations.
* You're good with reading and writing detailed reports.
* You know when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards.
* Completion of DAR's (Daily Activity Reports), gate security logs, and client personnel logs.
* Performing vehicle patrols of client site multiple times throughout shift
* Closed circuit television monitoring (multiple security cameras involved)
* On the job training provided
* Access control responsibilities/verification of all visitors, contractors, and client personnel in a timely manner
* Other duties as assigned per position

Your background:

* You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
* You're able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
* If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience - even better!
* Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
* Legally authorized to work in the United States
* Strong customer service/interpersonal skills
* Vigilance and strong attention to detail
* You have a driver's license, and an impeccable driving record.
* Ability to perform a 10 Star Driving Assessment
* You have a state license (required)
* Ability to secure a KCKS Security License. We will pay to get!

*Job description: *

All guards are required to arrive on site as scheduled, to provide relief to the guard holding post from the shift prior.

Guards must stand post and complete their hourly foot patrols and/or tours which are set to the site owner's needs and specifications.

All Patrols are done with a site phone, provided on site, and any/all checkpoints that require photographic documentation must be done to the standard outlined in the Post Orders.

Guard then must return to their post, standing by until the next hour's foot patrol is required.

Guards *MUST ALWAYS* ensure there are no unauthorized people/vagrants/vandals on site *DURING THE ENTIRETY* of their shift

Guards are expected to observe and report back to management and if necessary, the local police.

*Requirements: *

· *GUARDS MUST HAVE A VALID AND UP TO DATE GUARD CARD (we do not help guards in obtaining card, nor do we assist with renewal fees)*

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent

· Licenses/Certifications: *Security guard license from state*

· Must possess effective written, *customer service*, and *oral communication skills* in the English language

· *Effectual interpersonal skills* across all levels of personnel and the general public in a *professional manner;*

· Must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines

· Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions

· As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test

· As a condition of continued employment, employee *must* maintain *current active status* of all required Licenses at all times, carrying the license at all times while on duty

· Remain flexible to ever changing environments; adapt well to different situations including crisis situations at a client site

· Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites;

· Ability to maintain *satisfactory attendance and punctuality* standard

· *Neat and professional appearance;*

· Read, understand and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with public/co-workers, giving and receiving instructions, using phones;

· Must be able to handle pressure of working with high volume general public (constantly to occasionally depending on assignment)
